Yes, that's correct. The P900 a 230 volt heater. If you prefer a 115 volt system, we recommend the P1500 electric room heater. Linked here ➡thermalflowtech.com/product/p1500-electric-room-heater/

I ordered the 400 sq.ft. system for $2,200. I used polystyrene foam (purchased from Lowes) to partition my condo so as not to exceed 400 sq.ft. It took about 3 hours to reach 120 F and left running a total of 6 or 7 hours. I am confident the bed bugs are dead. I plan on being proactive and use the heaters twice a year. 👍

Great product. I've purchased one came in yesterday and did our first room. After 10 hours of treatment we found dry dead bed bugs that dropped to the floor because of the extreme heat. I just like the fact that I have the choice to treat any bedrooms anytime any day not allowing these bugs to feed and freely multiply. I don't like chemicals. I refuses to use chemicals so this heat treatment is the only method I will choose to fight these bed bugs. Even if a few got away from the treatment areas I have the equipment readily available to treat my bedrooms again and again. I have confidence that the bed bugs numbers will not be allowed to multiply. Thanks Thermalflow👍

I got the 400 square feet heater. I've just treated one room yesterday and see beg bugs dropping to the floor dry and dead after 10 hours of running time. Planning to do the rest of our bedrooms every other days. Thanks Thermalflow for providing these equipments. Before we new about using heat to kill bed bugs as an option it was chemicals and fumigator which onl pisses the bugs off even more and they came out to bite us even in more in greater numbers. Excellent customer service and technical support too!! 👍

Kerosene heaters need oxygen. Does the room get up to the temperature needed for a long enough before the oxygen runs out?
@thermalflowtechnologies4713
@thermalflowtechnologies4713 2 жыл бұрын
John, this is an electric heater. It consumes no oxygen during the treatment. Any fuel-based heating device will need external oxygen replacement, as oxygen is consumed in the burner combustion process. Hopefully this answers your question.

I have a few questions about your heater for bed bugs...1) What is the return policy if this product isn't effective for a customer? 2) Can you be more specific on how to set the product up? 3) How long does this item take to effectively kill the bed bugs? 4) What are the safety precautions a customer must take before setting this item up? Thank you in advanced for taking the time to answer my questions.

1. The return policy is based on issues such as damage, not achieving "kill" temps within specifications, which is exceedingly rare. As long as we are notified within 14 days, they will receive a full refund or replacement. 2. The product setup involves several steps: A. Placing the heater and fan inside the space, preferably with no obstructions within a couple of feet. We generally recommend directing the electric heater towards furnishings such as a bed, or a couch, or a headboard; somewhere centrally located in the room. B. Plug in cords in different rooms, that are on different circuits. A circuit may power a couple of different rooms, so you will need to look at your panel to verify. Our staff can assist with this if needed. C. Turn the heater on, then the circulation fan. The fan should be placed at an angle towards the wall. This will help move air in a circular motion in the room. This circulation helps drive air into the walls, and blend the air uniformly in the room D. Around 2-3 hours in, we also recommend starting to move items in the room around to help eliminate cool spots. This is an area where people will experience failure in treatment. Shifting the bed off the box spring, or moving clothing piles around, pulling items out of the closet, are all things that are considered good practice in heat treatments. In lieu of that, a significantly longer period of time will be required to be effective. If you have limited clutter, much less effort is needed.

BUT DOSE IT ALSO KILL THE EGGS OF BED BUGS ?
@thermalflowtechnologies4713
@thermalflowtechnologies4713 2 жыл бұрын
Heat will eliminate eggs, but the time exposure needed is higher than that of an adult bed bug. This is why we recommend a longer "hold time" at temperatures above 120 degrees. The longer hold time takes into account that the interior spaces of walls and furniture will be a lot cooler than the space temperature, and the extra time allows for those spaces to acclimate and eventually reach equilibrium with the air temps.

How does it work in a two story home/condo/townhome? Does it need to be lugged up the stairs?
@thermalflowtechnologies4713
@thermalflowtechnologies4713 2 жыл бұрын
It would be difficult to get it up staircases without a second person. We normally use fans to help direct air up the staircases, or recommend using the SleepTight 800, which is much smaller and easier to get to a second story.

Can it hold Temps in a 2 bedroom or 3?
@thermalflowtechnologies4713
@thermalflowtechnologies4713 3 жыл бұрын
In most circumstances, yes. If the square footage extends beyond 1200 square feet, or if an operator does not use enough fans, achieving "kill temps" could be difficult.

Can I use this for hot yoga?
@thermalflowtechnologies4713
@thermalflowtechnologies4713 2 жыл бұрын
We have people that have ordered heaters for hot yoga, yes. You will need around 5-6 btus per cubic foot of space to achieve typical hot yoga temps. This is lower than the bed bug requirements of 8-10 Btus per cubic ft.
