Birru’s redemption here was exactly what his character arc was building to, and it was the perfect way to cap off the season.

Bill can be quite self-destructive (like when he cheated on Governor Ann Richards with Lenore, who treated him horribly), but I still feel bad for him. He was the “Billdozer”, was talented at (American) Football, and served his country, albeit as a barber, but regardless, was a member of the armed forces. I’d like to see him enjoy a *bit* of happiness in the coming revival of the show.
