Hey Tyredeck, I noticed that Ellywick has been bumped up to S since this video came out. What changed around her? Was it just realizing her potential for Gold and Gems being high enough to prioritize her more?

Does using a potion of specialization to reselect her key allies cause search for the crown to reset? I ask because I tend to go with the favored foes option to quickly complete "Speed Run" but then want to change to evil champions to increase the boost applied by calculating guidance.

Agreed on Voronika, but I don't know. I would move Kas and Desmond up now, since the two together can get huge numbers by themselves with any formation, if you farm Kas stacks and kill everyone near the wall. That with full blue equipment and just a few item levels!!! And Wyll I would be moving down, since his mechanic is too strict and hard to fit on most formations without removing other good characters.

How can I increase my hero's level cap? I haven't been able to unlock the fourth specialization.

Watching it just for the cat mainly Very handy now I don't like the Speed Run skill but its jot too bad the 2500 kills is too slow the 500 favored foes is way to go. I like Voronika but if I can use Gale I will always use him more I do like the puppet master skill though

Now that I don't absolutely hate her puppet ability, I'll start using her, especially since Kaz is so damn good.

two things one okira is in first slot so no aoe debuffs from her also astarion lowering ults cool down plus being an evil undead works great for the kas voro synergy

Very solid rework. She is just generally better in pretty much all ways, nothing much to complain about. She obviously works quite well with Kas and should be better for Warduke, Krond, and Artemis. It does unfortunately look like all future reworked champions in events will be delayed until week 2 going forward, which is annoying. Hopefully it's good for retention or something cause it seems to be net negative for players. The new premium currency announcement was... interesting. It looks like ftp players will be able to pick up a very occasional premium pack with the daily login rewards. I have some healthy skepticism, but we'll see how things go.

Wish I could have seen this earlier when I was desperately searching for info on events and the champions, I just started a few weeks ago and definitely should have grabbed Thellora

RNG out, Artemis synergy in

She's MUCH better and easier to make work now in my opinion, but her kit also feels clunky. She's a champion that you really need in your party at the start of a campaign to see her true potential (unless you wanna sit and farm at a stage for quite a while), but she also doesn't intrinsically add any value to the party at the start of the campaign and takes a spot away from a speed champ.

Is the best way to take advantage of Voronika's speed run to stuff her formation with speed/favored foes champions before switching them out for a pushing team?

Voronika is in such a better place now, and she's putting out sime good numbers for me, even after a full dismantle. I like that she's still kind of fiddly, but doesn't require you to gimp your formation with sub-par Champs just to get the most out of her (or reset multiple times to get an ideal roll). Her speed run adds a very interesting wrinkle as well, and incentivises some off-formation swaps like her old design, but doesn't require you keep them into the end of adventures. Very good all around

Nice to see my own thoughts be mirrored by someone more experienced and knowledgeable. Only disagreement I’d have is I’d put Kas S tier. He may not hit the same numbers at max potential but he’s much less restrictive than Artemis (I don’t have Durge yet), and really that’s more useful. Any dps can hit area cap with enough item levels and the right supports, but Kas doesn’t need the optimal supports which in my view makes him much more useful than Artemis (again, no Durge yet so I’m unclear on his usefulness personally)

Of course I feel obligated to comment on this one, because my once-beloved Krond dream has just been killed, along with the champion himself, then instantly buried under a grave that was promptly desecrated. So what I'm getting from this is, unfortunately, I probably want to use almost my exact Warduke team with Kas instead of Warduke.

My one worry about Kas: His character model is the Dark Kas who recently appeared in the Vecna campaign, not the original Kas the Champions have been bringing on a redemption arc for a while now. Hope the Kas we know doesn't get retconned or something.

You commited the ultimate sin of making the video 10 seconds too long :-/ The recent champion re/releases have been nothing but awesome. At this point I can reach TomT stage 2000 on my first try. I think what we need is a way to progress beyond 2000+. Gearing up champions thus feels kinda obsolete or not as impactful to me. Would be cool if they rebalanced champion hp, so we could survive stage 2000+ and push even deeper. As always, good video Tyredack!

One thing I think wasnt touched on is how good he seems for newer players, im somewhat new and just slammed him into my extremely budget artemis comp, and he completely blew through my wall.

I really like Kas as a non-restrictive DPS option. He likes evil champions, but he doesn't need them. It isn't a pre-stack, so the difference between Kas and nine evil champions versus Kas and zero evil champions is only 512 times (less than e03 damage difference). Because he makes his own undead, he always gets 10 stacks on his prestack. That's not as many as Artemis and Durge can get maximum, but he always gets them. He doesn't need a bunch of DPS supports with PFAs or ceremorphosis stacks or whatever, so he can run with anyone that's legal in the variant, and his stats are going to be the best availability outside of "you just get to be in everything."

He doesnt care about positionals so you can use evil supports that dont have them like Warden, Torogar, and Viconia

I'm glad they are continuing to put out viable DPS champs for Elminster, since we started without too many. I was sad to see they nerfed his Mortal Pawns ability down to 0.5% instead of 1%, but he is still pretty solid. He's not spectacular, but perfectly serviceable and a good option with great availability. I'm gonna see if he'll get my new player account through Evil to the Core Elminster while Val and Astarion have event buffs.

Ah, I missed the adjacent=Evil spec. That sort of fixes the lack of Evil Support/Tanks if you can get him toward the front of the formation.

I think this really speaks to the lower middle class and the daily struggles we all endure. Truly thought provoking.

Kas is my favorrite champion the only problem I can see Kas having if you can clear area 2000 without your team dying you can't make them undead Is there a way to prevent this?
