It is clear that he was wrong at the moment since the thing about releasing the guitar was after the 2d chorus of the song since he makes exactly the same movements that he did by mistake where I indicated in my comment, kevin does not play anything, when he play his guitar I don't know he added no extra sound to the song, that's why the guitar solos are always done by nick, jinjoo from dnce or someone else, I don't know what the reasons are but the same thing always happened, his only role was always the guitar and even in the 3d concert from his album burning up when he played the moment of a guitar solo it was nick playing and kevin moved and turned like he was playing something

He did though make a mistake by missing the beat that's why he's returning his hands quickly (I guess he was transported by the song :D). I agree that you cannot hear it clearly as there is a lot of acoustic in this, but look at this one where you can clearly hear it as it is the only acoustic : kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2TLeXSircunrMU I know as a fact that he is a rhythm guitarist and not a lead guitarist that's why you don't see him often doing solos (he writes them though), but every band needs a rhythm guitarist it is as important as a lead (John Lennon was one), because as the name says it gives rhythm to the music :)

Kevin is sorely overlooked. He's the tallest of the 3 and that's a plus but he's also quiet and it's the quiet ones you need to watch out for.
