Norway is mostly all coastline so the temperate waters of the gulfstream makes it a warmer and a milder climate than Sweden. If you are interested in photographing wild bears I can recommend the forests around Älvdalen in Dalarna, there are a lot of bear encounters there.

Sweden was so wild, we spent a week around Mora and lake siljan and I eventually filmed bear in Kungsberg in western edge of Dalarna, awesome experience.

Great video, The watchtower is most likely used for bird watching. The Swedish ants are great builders, I have seen nests bigger than myself in both length and width.

Thanks for the info on the tower, and that’s a scary thought that they get bigger than the ones i saw!

My Sony camcorder from 2009 has 1080p night vision and its amazing. Its truly HP night vision. It has a built-in IR light but if you use a larger IR light source then its like daytime black and white.
@haydnthomasphotography808416 күн бұрын
That’s awesome, especially as it’s from 2009, thanks for taking the time to tell me about it!👍

@@haydnthomasphotography8084 There's a fairly bigger button than the other that make the camcorder remove its IR filter from over its cmos sensor. It makes a loud claaack when it does. Then you get the night vision.

These reindeer are semi domesticated, belong to the Sami. Pure wild reindeer are only found in some Norwegian area's like Forolhogna, Hardangervidda or Dovre Fjell.
@haydnthomasphotography808419 күн бұрын
Yep, I filmed a large migrating herd from Dovrefjell’s Snohetta summit end of August, along with the Musk Oxen. I’ve mentioned that the Sami own Reindeer in Sweden on a few videos now.👍

Those reindeer are just stunning. Their feet are huge. And wtf!! Those ant mounds are things of nightmares - wow!! 🐜 Falls are beautiful and so loud, but peaceful. Could sit for hours watching them. Lovely ending with the sunset. Great video, thank u for sharing. Xx

Congratulations on your videos, I'm telling you from Spain. I really like your videos, even though I have to use the translator on the TV because unfortunately I don't speak English. But I really enjoy watching them. I'm sorry you didn't have any screenshots these days, but I'm sure you'll be rewarded next time. Cheer up and on to the next video. Greetings.

Interesting video, might do the same myself. Out of interest, why didn't you do a large scrim net so that it can be use with the bigger zip opening for when you want/need better visibility from the hide?
@haydnthomasphotography80843 ай бұрын
Thanks for taking the time to comment, it really is appreciated. When its dry and i want more visibility i open up the bigger zipped opening and peg my 3D printed Poncho to it and use the hood hole for putting my camera through, works a treat!!

Thanks for a very interesting video ! I observed a badger recently feeding on ants and have been trying to track its sett down. How far do badgers roam around from their setts?
@haydnthomasphotography80843 ай бұрын
Thanks Max, eating ants, awesome. Summer time, up to a mile is what I learnt, depends how food rich their area is for them, and during winter they drop their body temperature and although dont hibernate, they rarely eat and just come out to use the latrine.

I love this blind. I took your tip and gave it a few coats of the Nikwax spray, it makes a world of difference and I don’t get wet even in a downpour so thanks for that. DIY is not my strong point so I got a waterproof lens cover to keep my bit of lens that sticks out dry. I would prefer your option of that modification but I’ll make a mess of it. I’ll try it with clothes line pegs though. See if I can do something temporary for just when I erect the hide. Thanks again
@haydnthomasphotography80846 ай бұрын
Thanks Frank, yeah, a few pegs will work with a bit of material! Good idea! 👍
