@rickliu21004 ай бұрын
For F1: (3/2)j =1.5j and F2: -5(4/5) j= -4j and F3: -4j If you count these up for the FRy component: 1.5 - 4 - 4 = -6.5

I think perhaps the tangential reaction at O (Ot) should be in the opposite direction. Solving your equation 1 with alpha = 5.905 yields a negative answer. Wouldn’t that mean it’s in the opposite direction from what was initially assumed? (20)(1.5)(5.905) = 177.15 But 19.05 + (20)(9.81) = 215.25 However, -19.05 + (20)(9.81) = 177.15

can anyone explain why we assume the curve is concave down for the moment diagram? Do we just assume we took the steps to find it? Or is it always concave down because its negative "x" no matter the exponent?? 10:21

When you have a triangular distributed force, you find an equivalent force that is the area under the curve, bh/2. This equivalent force is located at 2/3 of skinny side of the triangle.

Hello, in the distance coordinates, R(a/b) is (-0.3sin(60)i + 0.3cos(60)j) and R(b/a) is -R(a/b). You wrote in the formula R(b/a) but proceeded to write out R(a/b), the same for R(c/b) and R(b/c) as well. I would really appreciate a response if it's an error or my math is not so good. Thank you😊.

The Vector R (b-a) reads vector from b to a, the Vector R(a/b) reads vector b relative to a, and represent the same. The Vector R (a-b) reads vector from a to b, the Vector R(b/a) reads vector a relative to b, and represent the same. The formula for the velocity can be written as: Vb= Va + w x R(b/a) + Vb/a .... the known velocity is at a, and you are calculating the velocity at b, therefore the vector goes from a to b, which is the same as saying b relative to a. if you would like to do the inverse: Va= Vb + w x R(a/b) + Va/b .... the known velocity is at b, and you are calculating the velocity at a, therefore the vector goes from b to a, which is the same as saying a relative to b. I hope this help.
