Hi Tony, Miss Tee here. I remember meeting you at Makers a few years ago. Hope you are well and still turning. I'm just starting segmented turning & have watched your videos. I've made my first one, a small bowl, now I'm going to make a larger one. One question, where do get you long boards for making your segments?

Very good video. I'm about to attempt my first segmented bowl and I enjoyed watching your video. I'll remember to use the salt.

Took my Son, Daughter and four grandchildren to Florida in April then back just Pauline and l in September. Hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Tony

Tony - Really enjoyed the segmented bowl video and learned some excellent techniques. This is especially helpful to me as I am just starting on segmented bowls. My only thought for improving your video would be to turn the music volume down. I can hardly hear your voice over the music. The music was lovely but is second in importance for me. Thanks for sharing your talent and techniques.

Very good video thank, I do have one question for you. The strips for in between the main segments, is there any particular reason for choosing to cut the strips cross grain ? Ripping a long strip on a table saw or bandsaw would have been possible. Was your reason to expose side grain on the outer side ? or was there another reason ?

Hi TONY.. HAVE WATCHED YOUR FILM ON THE CLOCK. ITS REALLY GOOD AND INTERESTING...IVE MADE A FEW OF THEM NOW AN IT NEVER GETS ANY EASIER..TONY WE ARE IN N.S. W AUSTRALIA HAVE BEEN HERE A FEW YEARS NOW.. IVE BEEN PUTTING THE SKELTON CLOCKS INTO A VERY HARD WOOD CALLED WATTLE IT HAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL GRAIN...I TURN TWO LUMPS AROUND A FOOT OR MORE ACROSS NOT ALWAYS ROUND AND ANOTHER ABOUT THE SAME THEY ARE TWO INCHES THICK OR MORE AND VERY HARD GOING TO GET SUCH ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS SPOT ON.. THESE CLOCKS LOOK FANTASTIC IN SUCH BEAUTIFUL GRAINED WOOD... AS THE WATTLE HAS A SORT OF GOLDEN TO BROWN COLOUR ...I WOULD LOVE TO BE ABLE TO SEND YOU SOME PICTURES OF THEM BUT NOT VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AT COMPUTER STUFF...THE OTHER THING WE CANNOT FIND ANY CLOCKS WITH THE BAND ON ONLY SCREWE ONES... I THINK YOU SHOULD COME OVER AND HAVE AGO... ALL THE VERY BEST TO YOU.DAVID..

Hi Tony, thanks for the video. I just made the small one and my first segmented ring and yes it works yaayyy. I was wondering where you got the wedgies from please? I am in NZ and none available here. I am assuming you need to be really accurate with the wedges. I used an old school triangle 30, 60 90 but it was home made and may be slightly out too :)
