My Father worked at Allied Chemical Semet Solvay/Tonawanda Coke for 40 years,1940-1980, the plant was shut down in 2017 after 100 years of production, along with their sister plant in Eire PA😢

This place provided a lot of business for the railroad, too, which I see is still there.

I worked here for a while in the early 70s. Nothing left. Too bad. I ran the charging car on top of the coke oven.

Where was this rink? If it was in Huntington I need to know so I can use it as a reason for Huntington needing an ice rink again.

De- industrialization of the United States is leading to it's downfall. Both political parties are to blame. Kind of like watching the Roman Empire fall apart. Sad.

I know why men plow...the continuous rolling motion of the soil off of a moldboard plow is hypnotic! Thanks (from one of the many who cannot do this...)

Love Allis Chalmers. Spent many nights sleeping behind the seat of our 7060 as a kid with my dad doing field work. We had a 7060 a 7045 and an XT and a 185.

People want to hear the tractors, not some corny-ass music!

Well , as soon as the put microphones on drones, you can hear the tractor instead of “corny ass music” I. Could have added tractor sounds … but chances are they are not the same as the tractors in the video

Must be some light ground. My Uncle had a 7000 like what is pictured and 4 to 5 bottoms was max in heavy clay. Nice to see all that orange still working. Looks like the 7000 might be a little over stock too. Good old tractors. Thanks for sharing the video.

Hopefully this site isn't a brownfield for years and years to come. It needs to be cleared out, cleaned up and zoned for commercial and residential usage. A connector road from the backend of the Ashland Town Center property to Russell needs to be built and this riverfront area could potentially thrive. Boat launch and park on the water. A nice road to unclog traffic on US23 between Russell and Ashland. Lots of potential here.

Awesome video. I’ve spent many hours on A-C ‘s working down ground. Use to work at a A-C dealership in the 80’s and 90’s and when Duetz come in i headed out. I still have a 190xt series 3 that was set up by a factory tech years ago plays with a set of 6-16’s. And we we also have a D-17 that has a D-19 motor in it back in the day a lot of people was dumbfounded by it. But my favorite is our super M that has a 462 Lincoln v-8 in it with a wide front end that’s narrowed along with 18-4/34 tires and we put 706 flat fenders on. Strictly a tillage tractor. Good to see ur videos keep them coming

I along with millions love Patsy Cline and have been listening for many years. I myself as a singer all my life professionally speaking, knows a great singer/vocalist. I sing Patsy myself, and I am here to tell ya, YOU capture her essence perfectly. Did you ever audition for the Opry's "Patsy Cline"? I know Mandy Barnett got the part and she did a super job, but you would of been Perfect for that stage show. My only advise If I may is, Confidence. If your body language and confidence in your self was stronger, know one could touch you vocally. With that strong presence Patsy had to push her voice OUT, you as well would do the same. You got the pipes for sure. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. I am a fan.
