Hmm. I'm not sure since I didn't have to replace it. I think that you can buy a rubber bung with a hole in it....I know they make them for RC airplane tanks...I know some 2 cycle weed eaters and chainsaws and whatnot have them too. You would just need to measure the size first and get the appropriate one that fits the tank and line. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching and the comment!

I am changing the batteries in my Ezip 750. I like your system and I have one question. Since the two batteries are wired in series, and according to your diagram they stay in series while chargine, how can that work? It seems to me that the charger for one battery is putting a + current on the + terminal of that battery and the - current on the negative terminal of that battery, but because of the series wire between the + terminal of one battery and the - terminal of the other battery, that a short will be occurring. So how will it work?
@DavidWeidner10
@DavidWeidner10 4 ай бұрын
Been a while since I looked...but I think I remember....that when the power switch is off...the series connection is broken. Then charging is from each charger to each battery.
@JohnYoung-b4f
@JohnYoung-b4f 4 ай бұрын
@@DavidWeidner10 Mine is not made that way. There is just a 12 gauge wire that puts the two bateries in series and it does not go through the on-off switch. I found a wiring diagram on the internet but it only shows a spst switch for on-off. The on-off switch in mine is a dpst switch. I would like to know what the other wires are.
@DavidWeidner10
@DavidWeidner10 4 ай бұрын
@@JohnYoung-b4f I read my comment and I think I misspoke. The chicken scratch diagram in the video at 28seconds in shows what I did. This is all part of the battery pack...I didn't do anything with the switch. My thinking was....since the switch for the scooter breaks the positive 24v into the speed controller....that as long as the switch is OFF....you can charge both lithium batteries independently with the 4 pin plug wired as shown. (Two 14.2V lipo chargers) So yes....they are still in series....but the overall circuit is not connected when the scooter switch is off. If you left the switch on and plugged in you might have a problem.
@JohnYoung-b4f
@JohnYoung-b4f 4 ай бұрын
@@DavidWeidner10 Thanks for your reply. I raised a question above about the switch being dpst but the diagram shows a spst. After taking the switch out, I see while it is a dpst, they are using both poles for the same wire. I presume the stitch was not rated for high enough amps so they used both poles to get the need amperage rating.
@JohnYoung-b4f
@JohnYoung-b4f 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your video. I modified my 750 using your diagram with one change. I put a toggle switch on the wire connecting the batteries in series. To charge each battery separately, I turn that switch off, taking the batteries out of series for the duration of the charge. When the batteries are fully charged, I disconnect the charger and turn that toggle switch on putting the batteries back in series for the operation of the scooter.

I found the 8hp model some guy was selling that looked close to brand new! The thing with any chippers is keeping the blades sharp! I also converted mine to an 8" pickup hose. I have this exact pressure washer. Rebuilt the unloader valve several years ago and about to do it once again. Do you know how to drain the pump oil and if so drain it from where/how and of course where to refill it ? The owners manual doesn't mention pump oil only the engine oil. I actually removed the pump from the engine crankshaft to be able to measure the shaft size because I thought I was going to be replacing it because the black plastic hex threaded unloader valve cap is so brittle I couldn't remove it without destroying it. However, I was actually able to find an unloader valve rebuild kit including the black plastic hex cap. Sooo I was hoping to change that pump oil while I am at it. Any help much appreciated. Great video too👍 👍

I have the same machine, trying to get it running. New carb, gas, etc.. Question: On the driver's side, there are two black wires coming from under the deck with screw terminals. On mine, one is screwed to the engine, the other is connected to air. Do you know what that one is supposed to be connected?
@DavidWeidner10
@DavidWeidner10 6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Sorry though, I have sold the machine so....I can't check. I think that all of the safety wires.....simply ground out when the switches are not "pressed" meaning....if the sections of the air tubes get pushed apart somehow....the ignition grounds out via the switch and prevents the motor from running.

Good video 👍. I'm just going to leave this for others coming along to read. The fiber washers you only really need two per the engineers concept if you notice the one bolt out of the three holds down a ground wire on the coil bare laminated plate therefore on that one there is no need to insulate the head of the bolt none whatsoever so any washer or even know washer will do. The other two bolts go through the carburetor those the engineer did not want to be grounded. Next advice when starting any small engine that has been sitting or torn apart make it easy on yourself squirt a little gas in the carburetor I use an old fashioned pump oil container filled with 2 cycle gas for all of them one squirt they'll fire up long enough to prime the system or tell you what is wrong. In this case he was suspect that the coil was faulty by squirting a little gas in the carb would rule out a bad carb or setting. Maybe the weak coil would have started the engine and it was also a bad carb setting then you get a new coil and the carb is still an issue. Use the squirting of the gas as a diagnostic tool as well as a primer of the engine so that you don't have to pull your shoulder off.

these are one of the best saws under logging saws that i've ever seen except maybe david bradley, that hand pump oiler all that i can see is it's just air pump that pressurizes the tank. i'm thinking the whole shittery is the pump is just air pump from manual or crank pressure and the oil then squeezes out the holes to the bar. that adjustment screw just adjust the amount of gas pressure; 2 things about that rtv use. it'll last maybe a couple of years and then it turns to jelly. also when surfaces squeeze together the parts inside the tank will break off and plug the ports of the oil discharge hole. it falls apart on the surfaces of the gasket but the pieces inside will last forever and i think it chemically changes the oil to emit some sort of chemical that all the stickers come off of the saw, unless it's the gas the oil these days are trash.

at milemarker1:04:00 looking at the tank flange or mating surface, on the bottom right and upper left there's recessed cavities where the tank bolt go through, any idea what those are for? like an oring expansion groove yet there's not oring. the upper left has orange in it? the bolt holes are all drilled through to outside atmosphere, while they're not an engineered part of the sealing, where oil isn't supposed to be subject to leaks unless the seal on the insides of them failed. i changed the filter line a few years ago and slightly cleaning the surface it looked like for a seal (or gasketed factory attempt) was this clear film of liquid gasket material and part of it scraped off. any way i used some kind of make a gasket junk from permatex that claimed is was gas resistant. it was for a few years is all. which might be the best approach of fixing it just every few years a redo of it working, it started leaking alot. i'll watch the rest of the video you have to see what you do with it. adding the orings in the recess could cause trouble if the don't compress, but that's not a sealing issue. bar bolts have to be a close press fit as they just squeeze through the case. i was looking for the best compound to seal the case, a dressing or loctite the bolts with medium. only not spend 50 dollars on a .5oz tube of loctite with the prep crap activator stuff that only can be used this one time, with the prices sky high now. i'm thinking clean it in alcohol and put peanut button on it. gaskacinch and aviation gasket crap never works. any ideas on the gasket or mating halves? thanks.
