Holton supporters require you to discard a card to use them, mainly this and utilizing retreating into jirachi to discard energy

bronzor has access to heatproof in the games and that's thematically why he has fire resistance btw

You mention that MD-CoL tends to have more even matchups between the top decks than 2010, but this is a rogue deck with at least one bad matchup mentioned in the video. Which decks does Megahippo have and not have even matchups against?

Gyarados lol, you're water weak and gyarados gains tons of broken tools in MD-CoL (junk arm, smeargle, rescue energy etc) but yeah that's a near autoloss and gdos is arguably bdif in this format

If you're playing gengar lv. X it has to be in DP-AR (Diamond & Pearl Base set to Arceus) which is a very popular format but different than this one that's from 2009 (DP-RR). Gengar lists in DP-AR also gain Spiritomb, so honestly the deck changes a fair amount. I don't have a DP-AR gengar list, but check my 2010 Gengar list out if youre looking for one with the Lv X

Great overview. One of my kids is getting into the tcg now so I've tried to start learning about it more, but came to the unfortunate realization the RS-PK format seems to be the most fun to actually play lol. Wish I stocked up on more of these cards when I was younger. Glad to see a Tyranitar Delta deck, was always interested in this card but couldn't find much information on how to run it due to how many years have elapsed since DS.

@Snowpointcast I really want to replace one of the HL Gorebyss with a second LM Gorebyss to avoid losing every 1 in 10 games when the LM Gorebyss gets prized. In theory you could still find the right Gorebyss often enough, thanks to the abundance of Surprise! Time Machine and Pokémon Retriever. The three Holon's Castform also looks painful, since it makes it very likely that you will open with Holon's Castform. I wish it could have been three Holon's Magneton, but then you wouldn't be able to search them out with Holon Mentor. How well has one Warp Point worked? The Roselia is actually a really cool tech, between being able to heal away spread damage and being able to trap something in the active. I just worry that the BombTar player would just Pow! it up and take a Knockout, but the good news is Roselia would be a much smaller investment than a Happy Dance Ludicolo that a BombTar player could also Pow! up, and you could theoretically even loop it with all the Swoop!s and Retrievers.

i would love to see a Dragonite ex delta species decklist from 2006. Deafen seems pretty strong so i guess the deck was somewhat playable?

Unfortunately the deck isn't that strong in 2006 or RS-PK, mostly due to damage/speed problems with t1 candy rules but I have tried it with delta vileplume and its fun (albeit not very good compared to the other top tiers of each respective format)

Tord got Top 4 in Masters with a list that was 3 cards off this one, so I'd say the 18 Energy worked out pretty well. They're particularly great with Victini, allowing you to KO a Tag Team with a one prizer late in the game.

It's definitely not bad, but unnecessary most games as well as it's unsearchability makes it a non include for me. I've seen other lists with it and it does help your evolution based matchups

Personally my preference was to use just one tm rock because you know, playing tm rock is super fun and exciting when it gets its job (like candy devolute or multikill stuff) done. But at the same time in some matchup that's totally dead card and in those cases drawing tm rock when in pinch is really frustrating. So I was kinda debating with myself, and seems like I have to admit that using any tm rock on bombtar is hardly justifiable in terms of optimization. Thx!!

Oh you definitely do, the player using pow! Hand extension chooses the benched pokemon to bring up. One of the reasons it's so powerful

11:22 Can you actually use regi move here? The power says discard 2 cards AND choose an active pokemon that isn't an evolved pokemon, which is not possible with gyarados active

You can use it, because it says to discard first, if there's no basic active it simply has no effect but the discard

@@PrinngerXo2 Oh yeah you're totally right, I should have kept the supporter in the supporter slot like I intended. I think I hesitated to play the seeker because I though I might've played a supporter already but the Bebe's was pretty inconsequential so I forgot haha

Why multi energy over basic lightning? Basic lightning still powers up swampert ex. It is also recoverable by magneton

Possibly, but luxray bright looking your benched gligar/gliscors and poketurn getting rid of paralysis you might be better off playing it against something else

Might incorporate a Blaziken line into my normal sp LuxChomp deck at this point too. I have a flygon Torterra as a deck and Torterra can just wall and heal sp attackers, besides the Blaziken
