Nice, there are couple of problems with this 1. selection of baseline product 2. Life cycle analysis. Companies trying to do this may not have data on the baseline product, hence end up with lot of assumption and can lead to enhanced product impact claims as well. Most of them claiming avoided emissions only look at operational emissions rather than lifecycle.

Yes, it's true that data availability can be a challenge in calculating avoided emissions. It's still work in progress. As I mentioned in the video lot of research is going on to mitigate the challenges in understanding avoided emissions. But once implemented this will be the solution to help companies transition towards a low carbon economy.

Yes, it a challenge and there might be disagreements on how to define the baseline product and calculations of avoided emissions, but it is certainly a positive step for companies to start taking emissions more seriously... Another challenge might be that the baseline product itself might be different from country to country and region to region...

It's really excellent info & presentation. But some suggestions, At the time of presentation, the points & presentation should be on full screen. It will have more attention of viewer. Your pic / narration should be at a bottom or upper corner. Voice modulation have scope for next level. Sound quality also have scope for little more clarity. BUT, nevrthless, overall presentation is Excellent.

what about those industries who still haven't calculated their Scope 3 emissions. Can they submit only scope 1 and 2 emissions targets for validation?

Hi , if your scope 3 emissions is more than 40% of your total emissions you have to submit .if its less than 40% you may submit only Scope 1& 2.

Sustainability reporting standards , protocol and framework set by the gri reporting which included the universal standard , topic specific standard . Some included water used, land , waste produced etc and some are according to the different countries adopted in their own way .
