I love this song. It reminds me of Marie. Thank you Rev. Zinn, for bringing it to us at Shiloh UMC one Sunday long ago.

Very beautiful, curious, why the changing of “…and HIS righteousness,” to “…and God’s righteousness?”

always looking to describe God as gender-inclusive
@chucksolutions4579 Жыл бұрын
@@harmonysprings Oh like God the Father? Jesus His only begotten Son, who was circumcised on the eighth day because Jesus the Second Person of the Triune God was a masculine male human? This current gender inclusivity is a perversion the DEEPER reality. God defines Himself as masculine he defines male and female humans as made in His image, but If anyone worships the God of Jesus, that person is worshiping a God who came to earth as a man and the Son of Man. I don’t mean to offend, but when the truth is offensive, it is not the speaker who should be ashamed, but those offended by the truth. Can the masculine headship be misused by Jew and Christian alike? ABSOLUTELY! I was raised by an abusive father and a mother who to this day is angry and a very aggressive feminist in response. I struggle with God defining Himself as my father and why He would have allowed my earthly parents to hurt me the way they did. The answer? Freedom has consequences, just because the mirror is dirty and fractured doesn’t mean we should discard the real image, i means we need to do our best to repair the mirror, the image bearer of God. Giving a current socially acceptable or palatable representation of God does no one any favors. Hard truths vs softer lies

Well done. We did this recently, there were four instruments playing. Hearing a more complete choir with Base tones gives it a more traditional rich sound. Lovely.

Wonderfully done. You have blessed me beyond my means to express. Hope you can also consider a video of the same caliber using scripture from the book of James. Thank you for your encouragement and diligence.

My dad's favorite and the actual song I literally heard the angels sing the very moment my grandfather was taken into the heavens. To be loved by the angels, this is a very special hymn. Thanks, Terry!
