What was the route or trail called that you guys did? It looks like a very nice/beautiful backpacking trip and I’d like to try it out hopefully next summer! Amazing video as well those shots are very pretty!
@HovhannesKaragozian14 күн бұрын
The route is the Southwest ridge of Ragged peak. The area for backpacking is the Glen Aulin area to young lakes. It is an amazing setting and great backpacking trails with the lakes nestled between Mount Conness and Ragged peak.

Just a thought but I'd use a razor blade. They're reusable and also disposable when dull. Then you can keep the cheap knife instead of having to replace.

Nothing, really. Buck Rock to the north also has wooden stairs. Needles caught fire from a stove fire inside the lookout and the stairs were not damaged.

It was pretty buggy at north lake campgrounds. Oddly, there were no bugs at all on the trail , in Darwin canyon or Evolution basin.

So you went and stole a bunch of people's s*** LOL some of the things I kind of get is left behind but then like cams you don't think maybe that was just a generous person who left that there to make it easier for the next person to come along or perhaps " ah ill just hit it up when I come back later" I can see somebody thinking ah f*** it just leave it and I'll be there when we come back later tomorrow. Just because it's easy to steal doesn't mean that it's free like it may have been out there all by itself but it still belongs to the person just because they're no longer with the property does not mean that it is no longer their property what does it mean that you get to decide what to do with it. I mean that's basically the same as like taking somebody's car while they're on vacation you weren't with it you are really far away from it LOL ownership is ownership it doesn't matter where the owner is. And did you check and make sure the people were gone like you didn't go pull somebody's cam while they were just out hiking the top of the mountain they just climbed and then now don't have it to get back down with?
@HovhannesKaragozian4 ай бұрын
Leave no trace…..don’t litter the mountains and leave your gear behind. It’s simple. If you leave gear stuck inside cracks, it’s trash and booty once you leave. You can thank all of us who actually clean these stuck pieces of gear out of cracks and bring back Mother Nature to its original clean state, not with pieces of metal trashing up beautiful cracks 😊 try to practice leave no trace when you climb. Do not leave cams or gear on routes. If you can not clean the gear and leave it, it’s considered trash/booty and free to clean up for the following people who can remove it. Also take into consideration it takes away from the actual rock climb experience to have FIXED gear on a route. The whole adventure of traditional climbing is placing your own gear and removing it as you go up so you leave no trace. When there is fixed gear in the rock it takes away from the overall experience and is leaving trash on routes.

Absolutely, train smart, practice all the skills to be safe and efficient. Anyone can do it if they put their mind to it. It’s all about practicing and putting in that hard work to retain it and be able to apply it safely and efficiently in the mountains in real time. 👌
