Imagine, you are a high school pass out, and you haven't ever driven even a car! You go to China or Russia and learn to fly an obsolescent fighter plane for 2 years, learning limited tactics and come back straight into a war, against a giant airforce with all the resources and training in the world! You still scramble and fight against all odds, and manage to score kills! Just wow 👌 👏 beyond comprehension 😳

The MiG 21 BIS was not operational during the war, but that much artistic license is understandable. NVAF/VPAF pilots knew their MiGs, and their tactics were constantly innovative. Hats off to them for flying against all odds, against the largest and best equipped air forces in the world, and still scoring kills! 🫡

Ciao, di quello che so io non ci sono caduti in mare in 1980. Ma ce une caso di un adestratore CJ-6A (Yak-18 o Tipo-61 chome era chiamato in AAF) che e caduto in mare in un volo di note in primavera del 1971, con l`instruttore Kaso Petoshati in commando e il 'chief of staff' di scuola che era passeggere....

Hello Sir! Thank you very much for your channel and content you make. Especially the historical videos. I am a pilot who is based in Rinas for 3 years already(Wizz Air). But I'm from Russia so for me it was always very interesting to know more about Albanian Air Force and how it was connected initially with Soviet Union.

Thank you for the kind words! Indeed Albanian AF was a miniature soviet air force. Although Albania came out of Varsaw Pact very early, it remained a very soviet style aviation. It`s somehow interesting that most of the words used from technicians to pilots were russian...i remember many words, like shlemafon, fanar, shllang, rucki, gaza, vodilla, saplo, kapot, ano and many others. Later I will post some other videos with flight of MiG-17s

@@albaviator This is exactly what I was thinking! Videos on your channel remind me Soviet footage,except for the beautiful Albanian mountains in the background. Wow, I expected that most instruments in MiGs would be in Russian, but never thought you would learn so many words! That's why I was so excited to find that someone who lived through that era is posting great videos on youtube. Even in Russia most documentation regarding cooperation with Albania (especially before 1961) is either lost or unknown. I have found only very little evidence of Soviet specialists coming to help with construction of submarine base in Porto Palermo. But I knew there had to be more. For example one of your videos description says that Kucova airbase was also built with the help of engineers from USSR. But there are so many events in history that are not covered anywhere! Like that escape of MiG15UTI in march of 1997. Couldn't find anything in English or Russian regarding that. Are there any books or memoirs in English you could suggest to read?

@@Nikker468 I used to keep for a long time many maps that my father used which were in russian, but somehow they were lost after the fall of communism in the early 90s. Also you can find a video were some turists got inside the submarine tunel in porto palermo and inside ships there are many maps and documents in rrusian. @@albaviator What a shame... I think those guys on the video went to Shengjin and later to Gjader, not Porto Palermo. But yes, for me it was cool to see map of Durres bay in my language:) We have the same history in many ways - now everyone can visit graveyards of Soviet tanks,bunkers and airfields as well!

The context: The clip is from from a biopic TV drama about Pakistan Air Force's pilot Rashid Minhas, whose T-33 training aircraft was highjacked with him in it by a Bengali origin pilot seeking to defect to India. Minhas, who had been injured and unconscious due to short scuffle momentarily gained conscious and communicated the situation to ground control. The officer in the clip is nonchalant - "Yes ... Ok" - because he knew the slow flying T-33 wouldn't get too far and F-6 would be able to intercept it in time. However, by the time F-6 reached T-33 Minhas had temporarily gained control of the aircraft and deliberately crashed it inside Pakistan. [Sources suggest that F-86 Sabres were scrambled not the F-6. But even then so, Sabres would have caught up with T-33 before it could leave Pakistani airspace).

It have the same engine like La-5, La-7,9,11, Tu-2, Il-12, 14. So sound same like La-5, La-5f ! Not La-5FN or La-7 because they have another exhaust.
