He has a good voice. Not a mindblowing voice, but a really, really good voice. But the big thing with this kid is he sings with a huge presence, like he is meaning every single word that comes out of his mouth. For a kid thats not older, thats amazing and I fully understand the reactions from the audience and the jury.

Yeah this was a dynamite audition. Jae’s voice is actually really good, especially for his age. I’d argue to say his voice, for the most part, is much better than Bieber’s. He just didn’t have the likes of Usher pushing him into the limelight. I could listen to this kid sing ballads for hours. There’s a simplistic, yet mesmerizing melodic tone he has.

When youre really nervous you get dry in your mouth and on your lips. Thats why he lick his lips, to give them moisture, its easier to sing then.
