It was a lovely home and I’m sure you have many great memories of spending time there. I thought you were leaving a lot of things behind. Then close to the end, I saw some other people that looked like they may have been collecting the rest, at least I hope so, it would be a shame to leave anything behind. It was a beautiful, loving tribute. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This filipino architecture gem was supposed to be protected by the historical commission and where is it now? was it torn down? those antique furniture, where did it go? i've seen some video clips of this house that there's a lot of stories to tell. very rich in history.

i cried watching this. ayokong ganito ang mangyari sa ancestral house namin here in Pila Laguna, i promise that as long as i live, hindi ko pababayaan ang bahay na ito, even though maintaining an antique/old house is not a joke, it takes a lot of works and also money. i grew up here and i want to spend my very last breath in this house.

That is by far one of the most remarkable tribute i have watched. Seeing that house, its history and value, will always remain there. Your lola must be happy and crying while watching this video featuring her house.

Its 2022 now. Your ancestral house was so beautiful....i guess you are all in States now. Were you able to keep the contents? Those are beautiful paintings and the intricate ukits on the wall. I love the staircase...i hope they didnt just torn down the pieces. They could recycle the materials and use it. I would definitely buy those...they're treausures from the past...

Very fitting tribute to your Lola and the memories of this extravagant home. The walls and fixtures must have plenty of stories (secrets) to tell, witnessing the passing years of every generation. Sad to see it go but you made a good video recording which serves as an endearing souvenir.

Ito yung bahay na part ng childhood ko, yet hindi ko napasok but i know to myself how beautiful it is in personal, everytime na uuwi at aalis ako ng dampalit parati ko tinitignan at sinisilip to, super ganda kasi kahit sa lang alam mo may magaganda nangyari and festive ang memories the spirit never lie. Kaya nung nakita ko ginigiba talaga nalungkot ako kasi wala na ako makikita na ganito sa dampalit super nakakalungkot. Good thing napanuod ko to video na to this morning, ang ganda pala ng loob at labas super laki. My inner child is happy but sad at the same time kasi pag uuwi ako sa dampalit bakante lote nalang ito na puro tubig. Thank you for the beautiful video, super daming nag adore. This was a years ago huhuhu 😭😭😭

I was very lonely watching this video. Ours is also an almost 100 yrs old ancestral home with a life size hand-crafted statue of the Lord of Pardon. We partitioned it into for my brother and me. I was very sorry that you did not maintain the house. You can do business there in order for the place to be self-sustaining. God bless!

This house could have been saved by the heritage commission because its architecture and history was very significant to Philippine culture as a whole. If that house was already demolished, there will be no actual physical features to show or feel except that we can only see it in your blogs as one of the lost treasures of Philippine architecture.

I envy you coz you were able to record on video the ancestral house even at that condition. I didn't get that chance to record ours in Sta. Mesa because there were no video recorders back then or not everyone is privileged to have. It burned down in the 80s. Houses back then have more character, intricate details, and you are assured it was constructed with high-quality materials and workmanship, not substandard.
