For ages, I do feel that there's been a blur between secession & independence. The devil is in detail & I feel in my personal opinion that we've all been victims of narrative spun by the victors(ruling factions which still remain in power and one that met its end). Today, we find ourselves inching towards the same fate as our northern brothers, thanks to the machinations of greater powers & the greed of the powers that be. Its a love hate relationship. Today we ourselves face the same issues as your countrymen because it is as if both regimes are merged.

Bunch of NGOs speculating on poverty and refugee is the same story, going on for years. If the issue was resolved and all refugees sent to the West. NGOs will become useless the following day. NGOs are there to keep the problems and refugees alive, if the issues will be not resolved NGOs can speculate, request help and collect money for public and private donors.... Even ppl from Tigray are speaking Tigrygnas languages..... Very macabre show, where NGOs knows very well the ppl smugglers and trafficker....... They collaborate to keep this exodus and speculation for a lucrative smuggling corridor to Libya..... Absolute a disgrace.... Stay where u are with your father opposition leader probably financed by Foreign entity... Can u creata an opposition party in US with finance coming from Russia president Putin. No, Same in Eritrea...... Very sad to see this speculation on refugee for political gain....

My couple was from Poland and I am from Russia. After covid, all countries have been open for a long time, but Poland and Russia are still closed to each other. I can't just go to Europe as a Japanese or US citizen. I need to get a visa, for which I have to pay and provide a whole book of all kinds of documents (I was issued a visa for several months, although sometimes they issue it for 1-2 years, but there is a complex system for counting days). The idiocy is that I had to go to Poland through Germany with a different Visa, because Poland does not issue visas to Russians (even does not issue visitor visas) for political reasons. As soon as the covid ended, the war began. And now all European countries discriminate against Russians, issuing visas rarely or not at all, and Russia may not let its citizens out at all. It's over: the partner bluntly said it was too hard, better to find someone within physical reach than wait an indefinite eternity. I also thought about collecting more stories and writing an article because I feel there are still thousands of heartbreaks due to the inhuman restrictions of politicians and artificial restrictions on both sides.

Sabrina, this an excellent initiative. You decided to take the risk to go to the Sudan and to see for yourself the condition of the Eritrean refugees in Kassala province. Humanity should be very proud of you. How could we Eritreans be involved in helping the refugees? Are there genuine organizations providing social services to the refugees in kassala?

I used to have big respect for Sudan And loved it is people, but I change my mind, after I so this documentary And the seek and hungry and hopeles refugees. How can you call yourself a Muslim if you differentiate Eritrean Muslim and Sudanese, We're is your rahma. Arrahimuna yarhamuhumu Allah (S.W.T).

This Documentary is so biased and telling half the truth.why don't you talk about the real reason why the world wants Eritrea and Eritreans to be forced under so called Sanctions therefore forced them to flee or betrer their life's,Who started the war?etc . Please as a young Eritrean who grew up abroad, you should at least tell the reasoning and the truth. People like you perhaps should keep Eritrea out of their sight and thoughts if they can't tell the truth. I suggest you watch Tiffany Haddish' new Documentary and learn a thing or two about Eritrea and Eritrean people.

Be nice if the HBCU'S designed their educational Infastructure to address this video but there education leaders are paid to even block producing COVID-19 vaccines for the black diaspora in American Black Communities which don't even have predominantly black Medical Institutions or predominantly black Medical staff. 📝 Dear #US_Black_Cacus thank you for not a got damn thing in your entire existence.👎

Those refugees happened because of westerns also, Eritrea don't not want to kneel to them so they bully Eritrea throw economy sanction and falsely blaming accusing for 20 years that why people are going to military they were threating to attack, it sad African won't say anything what western have been doing the reason Sudan in the bad shape is because of economy failing and why economy failing because western sanction and the reason because they supported strongly palatines.

This video made me cry.

This is an extremely powerful documentary. It was truly eye opening watching this and I’ve learned so much. Your father works at the same company as me and I remember he would always talk about how proud he is of you. I went back to the office again after almost 2 years working from home, and I was happy to see that your father and everyone else in your family is doing well. He immediately told me about your documentary and you can see by just the way he talks about it that he’s so proud of you. Well done Sabrina! I look forward to seeing more of your work. -Bernadette
