Just found your channel I'm only on part 2 looks like an awesome trip mate I can't wait to do it what saught of suspension have you got i have an 07 ranger standard not sure weather to lift or just install good shocks and leave at that don't want to spend a shit load of money if I'm not going to use it looking forward to the rest of your adventurers cheers mate 😂
@inZaneAdventures Жыл бұрын
Thanks heaps mate 👍 yeah certainly was an awesome trip! I only have a 2 inch lift, (RAW nitro kit,)+ HD torsion bars. It was enough. More ground clearance definitely helps and i would recommend a lift but it's not essential. Your suspension has to be in reasonably good order tho because it can be punishing up there. Largely dependent on road conditions/weather/time of year etc.. i sorta spent about a year getting setup, researching and preparing for this trip.. well worth it! Hope you get there too!

Well picked up, but that last clip was from a different day when there was 3 in the boat, (15 limit) all those fish on the esky are clearly smaller than those caught in the video just didn't record anything at the ramp that day..

Hey mate awesome video. We booked for 3 nights at North West campground too end of April. How far is from the ferry? Easy to find the campground? Do they have signs? Can u set up anywhere or? Sorry mate too many questions coz it’s going to be our first time up there. Cheers mate
@inZaneAdventures Жыл бұрын
Cheers mate 😄👍yeah sweet you'll have a great time, we're going back in April too.. NW zone is not far from the ferry, probly wouldn't walk there but it's not a long drive, just turn left and head north.. the zone is between Ben Ewa campground and Comboruya Point. Best to check out the map online to get your bearings. It's not really well signed but you'll figure it out easy enough. There has always been plenty of space there when we've been there but could be different in school holiday times. The setup part of this video shows roughly what the sites are like.. Enjoy your trip 🤙

Great video. I’m heading over this weekend with my wife and 2 year old. Looking for a beach front camp spot with some good shade and shallows. Any recommendation on which area to head to?
@inZaneAdventures2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, thanks. We are actually going back over again in 2 weeks too 👍 there were so many good camp sites over there, we stayed in north west zone, was great. I would probably recommend the west side because it's calm waters instead of surf and generally more sheltered. Obviously depends on the weather though, maybe check the wind forecast to help you make a decision. I would recommend you jump on google maps and zoom into all the camp-site areas, should give you a bit more of an idea what each one is like.. have a great trip🤙

I'm definitely no expert I actually just bought my first 4x4.. It has a snorkel so my question for the water in your engine. could it have been sucked up thru the exhaust? I understand once you let go of the accelerator in deep water that's where things can go wrong. does having a snorkel prevent that? (I know a snorkel gives extra height from the air box) Again I'm new to this 4x4 scene so take it easy on me.
@inZaneAdventures2 жыл бұрын
@@davidl9687 hey mate, congrats on your purchase! The engine sucks air in through the airbox/filter/snorkel and then the burnt exhaust gases exit through the exhaust system, the exhaust should never be sucking up anything. You are correct tho that a snorkel moves the air intake higher which reduces dust intake and also allows the engine to breathe if it were to be submerged in water. I removed the whole snorkel system before i left for the Cape and sikaflexed every join so i knew it would have a good seal. What i overlooked tho was that on the airbox itself has a small foam seal inside the join which is held together with the 3 snap-on clips. The bottom clip was not as tight as the top two which must have allowed a small gap to suck water in. (The lowest point when i got bogged was right where the airbox is) We only noticed this small gap when i put the new air filter in after the original one got soaked. So 90% sure that's where it got in.. hard way to learn 😂
@davidl96872 жыл бұрын
@@inZaneAdventures oh really I was always told to never let go of the accelerator if your exhaust is submerged as it can suck up water or maybe they meant if the car stalls/turns off? I plan to get a stainless snorkel with a custom airbox. as I don't really trust the factory box. I've also got a d22 3L I understand they have reliability issues but what car doesn't have issues and was one of cheapest 4x4 ute on the market. Also great clips keen to see more out of the d22 if you still have it she held up well.
