Lordy,you need to post a warning! Do not watch if hungry! The food was killer! So glad you went to top of the Aventine. Stunning. Read the Aeneid in Latin class and remember the cave mentioned under the hill. Maybe it is just me but Rome beats Paris any day😊🥰

It just wasn't something that crossed our minds. We knew there was a time change, but we didn't know how it would be implemented during the crossing. We generally fly, so we deal with the time change once we get to where we're going, haha!

Thanks for explaining the laundry with tips! No one else describes what we’ll encounter and we definitely need to do it on our trip. And you were LUCKY on the slots, and glad you have a self-imposed rules to stop getting pulled in. :)

It's on my bucket list! Someone on my mom's side was kept in the hospital ward, but I don't remember what it for or who it was - think it might have been my greata great grandmother when she returned from a visit home to Austria Absolutely amazing idea to turn the individual illness wards (and that amazes me, that each contagious disease had their own ward) in to educational wings for each illness - and a dield trip to it should be required for all the NYC medical schools

It was such an incredible visit! If you're looking for family history, they have a whole section of the museum dedicated to finding your ancestors who came through. You should check it out when you go!

At 3:45 one hidden gem on the QM2 is the Atlantic Room, which is adjacent to an observation deck on Deck 11. The Atlantic Room is used for bridge lessons (the card game), but that's only a few hours a week. The rest of the time, it's sitting completely empty. I mention it here, tying it to your comments about the library, because it may prove to be an excellent alternative if you're wanting a quiet space with a view. Of course, you need to bring your own book, but that shouldn't be a major problem for any avid reader.
