I asked my Bible study group and two pastors (of my 2 different serious churches) if this Scripture meant I was damned, because I "recieved Jesus with joy for a time" and then fell into sin and then disbelief ten years ago. The most bitter experience was realising my revolting fickle nature, and I returned to Christ, crying for a couple of weeks in great sorrow, repentance and self distain. No one I'd asked about this scripture had the view of this sermon, which has given me peace ... somewhat. Now I wonder all over again if I'm a Judas - the most repellant of people with no hope and always having to live with the weight of knowing my fate of fire. John MacAurthure says the hottest parts of hell are for people like me. It is what I deserve, I know it. Even though @ 19:25 resounded so well with me, I cried with joy when I heard that snippet alone (before searchihng out the whole sermon). Strangely, a man told me when I was a teen that he had a word from God that I would fall away and then come back genuinely. But I don't believe in that kind of thing. Makes me wonder though ...

John Macarthur is rich and a heretic! In the words of Jesus himself.. " I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God".

you are terribly wrong...Macarthur has been fighting to keep his large church open in defiance of Gov. Newsome of California who wants churches shut down during pandemic hysteria...Macarthur's foundation gives millions every year to worthy causes...this podcast is among the many thousands of sermons, writings, presentations this man of God has devoted his life to and given to the true followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ...I suggest you tune in as well. @@joebottiggi1020 do you have any proof that Macarthur donates anything? Like something on paper? I know he has a big beautiful home and luxurious cars. I ask you, should a preacher live that way?

You are right. How ironic that he preaches on this topic and he has multi million dollar homes and other material that he earned faking that he preaches true Christianity while he recycles Calvin's heresy.
