I keep getting the UTI Then about a week later my face swells so bad I can hardly see out my eyes, my ears get really itchy, I find myself clenching my jaw and then my teeth hurt too. Doctors aren’t listening! They keep saying I’m allergic to something! I always get a urine infection first, sharp pains in my kidneys! Before the face blows up. Look like I’ve been boxing without the bruises. I need help I can’t live like this I’m a single mum with 4 kids with disability’s that only have me to do everything for them. I can’t leave the house like this!

Yes, I just had to spend hundreds (more like a thousand) of £ on antibiotics, cause the NHS is incompetent or just sadistic. Thank goodness for people like Dr Malone-Lee (may get rest in power) for actually behaving like proper Drs and listening to patients instead of gaslighting into oblivion. Their research is saving countless lives 💖. I am lucky I can afford to do this at the moment (wasn’t always), I know that many cannot, and it’s criminal to needlessly waste lives when treatment would be so cheap to the NHS.

i mean i’m only 15 and i drink a pretty good amount of water and i wipe and stuff well and im not sexually active but i still get utis all the time! i take azo everytime and it’s instantly gone! and i have learned that pushing gently on my eurethra helps get rid one that sensation and especially cool showers just letting the water run over there, but it’s still so annoying how often i get them

Wow, I have just found your channel. After recurrent UTIs when I reached menopause and finding that not much has happened for womens health for centuries, and a lot of myths about our lower pelvic area, it was just not taken seriously by the medical establishment. I am so happy to sit and watch two women talking seriously about this issue. One asking the right questions and one woman knowing the research at present and talking about it. So refreshing thank you both. I can hear a lot has to be researched still as womens vaginal, and urinary health as yet to be discovered. For me its as important as the moon landing for women.

I’m 32 years old and currently experience internal tremors/shakiness. Chest tightness, General weakness, Palpitations, feeling of being really ill. Severe Anxiety and Depression. My mental state is definitely under attack. I did not have the typical tell tale signs of a UTI so no telling how long this has been lingering but it’s to the point that I feel absolutely horrible. My head face and lips feel tingly. I just took my first dose of antibiotics. I’m just praying this awful feeling goes away. Trying to sleep these last few days have been literal torture. I am not looking forward to sleeping tonight.

Please help! I had a UTI infection 3 years ago at the end of a relationship. I tested positive for mycoplasma hominis which I cleared but my urgency to urinate nor my awful smell ever cleared up. Any advice?

The urinary microbiome was discovered in 2014. Prior to that it was believed the urine/bladder were sterile. So while biofilms were well documented prior to this, research into biofilms in the bladder is more recent.

Enterococcus faecalis doesn't convert nitrates to nitrites and therefore dip stick screening is useless. Unless a biofilm disrupter (must be a fibrinolytic) is used prior to collection, no test will find pathogens embedded in biofilms.

After six years of a UTI and antibiotics once a year that did not work I read that some were using boric acid called Boric Life capsules so I got some. The applicators to insert them into the vagina. They were here for two months before I again saw where they worked many times for a UTI. So I used it one day and then waited for two days and did it again It has been three weeks EVERYTHING IS GONE it worked after six years of suffering. I have NOT been using D-Mannose 30.00 a month or cranberry now for a week and NO signs of any UTI for six years I could not miss one DAY. I am 71 and can't believe we must work hard to find things that work for our bodies to get well. All they want to do is manage and keep us buying more and more stuff.

I would like to discuss our lab's methodology that is a hybrid PCR plus Culture test, which is used to confirm viability of organisms, detect additional pathogens not targeted for on PCR and provide patient specific antibiotic sensitivity results. I would really like to have this discussion with her if possible? Thanks so much, I thoroughly enjoyed this video.

Do symptoms always mean an infection that needs antibiotics? 2 cultures of proteus positive. What about when there has been the one dose of Fosfomycin and symptoms lightened but never went away then 1 moth and a half later a 2 x’s a day for 5 days of Cefuroxime taken and again symptoms lightened but didn’t clear up and ultimately returned to very uncomfortable level?
