Whats happened to that 5mil oz of gold - had not brought prosperity to NZ. Yet we use a fiat currency backed by govt promises/lies where we are robbed everyday from taxes/inflation. How long will the crown/globalists devide us while robbing our resources and enslave nzdrs with this fiat currency. What happened to the Kiwi No.9 wire ingenuity? The globalist puppets destroyed it, wake up. 5mil oz x $2318 = 11590000000

Great news for the Australian owners. Not to great news for the New Zealanders who see more than 20% of the value of their GDP get exported by foreign companies who pay less than 2% of royalties.

To ignore the increasing population and consumption of the World in regards to commodities is foolish. The NZ Government along with other Western Governments are addicted to the Fiat Debt System for quick and easy returns. Sooner, rather than later we will see a Physical shortfall squeeze, most likely in Silver, Copper or another mineral whose supply can't be increased at the drop of a hat but rather will take years to catch up. The underinvestment in developing new projects has been going on for years as the institutional money has been cashing in on stock market advantages and raping retail investors. The BRICS nations know all this and they are preparing at full speed, hoarding commodities. Meanwhile our Governments are happily giving away all of our resources to be exported for literally pennies on the dollar. Good interview btw, well researched & current on macro view.

Would love to see anything on the NZ CBDC being created in preparation for a roll out. The honest pros and cons. And how we will be assured our freedoms won’t be degraded through this seemingly forever increasing list of strict regulation and control.
@MarketsWithMadison3 күн бұрын
Onto it James! Coming soon.
@Hunty492 күн бұрын
NZ CBDC is all about control. If you do something the government doesn't like, eg: protest, not take a vaccine, post a comment, buy something, they will block it and threaten to take away your freedom to spend YOUR money. Plus if businesses don't follow their ESG rules, people can't transact with you. All pros for the government but cons for you.

Interested to hear your thoughts on these new restrictions just imposed by the Reserve Bank. It follows banks and borrowers making the most of the low interest rate era with high debt to income loans in 2021. I'll cover this again once we have more data, so let me know if there's any questions you want answered. Madison

Can you ask them how we can have an efficient market when the price of money itself is ultimately set by a handful of people? We accept a “free market” sets prices of everything from houses to food based on demand and supply. However the currencies we use are priced by boards of very few people from the FMOC to the RBNZ. Is that not a form of price fixing to set the OCR in a similar manner to how the USSR set the prices of hundreds of goods such as bread and milk? If so, the price calculation problem of socialism, is applicable to how we are setting the most important price in a “free market”, that being the price of money itself. Cheers

Hey Madison, great interview thank you, some of the best journalism I've heard for some years. My background is mineral exploration/investing in "Elephant Country" West Africa. However, I'm now leaning towards Sovereign risk closer to home. Santana's opportunity looks promising. Average grade mined now world wide is below 1gpt. When I returned from Australia I considered exploration for Lithium within NZ, but decided it wasn't viable due to political risks regarding ESG etc Take a look at Geo40 there may be an update there perhaps, being Silca and Lithium extraction from thermals. The NZX listing for SANTANA is merely political lobbying. Certainly wouldn't be beneficial Financially, as miners are often frowned upon here in NZ (Think Coal mining tragedy and no company wanting the repercussions).

Madison, I'm a RKLB shareholder. A TRANSCRIPT excerpt. Already in 22 Sep 2022, (37th ELECTRON launch) Peter Beck is TURNING HIS BACK ON LAUNCH at Rocket Lab, speaking at their Investor Day & Neutron Update, to a room full of first tier investors (!!) 6:49 PETER: "I think about um the company we're actually not very 6:55 good at naming stuff um believe it or not and WE PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE COMPANY SPACE LAB INSTEAD OF ROCKET 7:02 LAB BECAUSE EVERYONE THINKS WE JUST BUILD ROCKETS but at the end of the day um you know the vision the vision Remains the Same and that's really to 7:08 have have meaningful impact SO LAUNCH WAS JUST THE BEGINNING FOR US" --------- No wonder LAUNCH had fallen to 26% of revenue, in Q1 2024 Revenue Call. Peter Beck in a Rocket Lab video on KZbin, 22 Sep 2022, down plays the importance of rocket LAUNCH in Rocket Lab's future.
