Thank you for this easy explanation. I am making a quilted Hexi baby quilt for my new baby granddaughter due next month. I am at a dilemma as to make it a crib size or a little bigger for a twin bed. I made a quilt for my grandson before he was born but forgot what size I made it. Do you advice maybe a 30" x 40" ? I really could use your expert advice. thank you so very much.

Great idea! What if your table isn't quite big enough? Let it drape off the sides?

The quilt has a nice combination of colors, and is not as feminine as so many quilts.

When you were making your floral pattern at the end of the video, was this free hand quilting or did you have a pattern stenciled on your quilt, or were you using a pantograph? Also what size was your frame ? Thank you

Out of all the videos that show this technique for finishing bindings, yours is by far the clearest one for my brain to "see". Thank you so much for your detailed and patient demonstration. I was able to do it right the first time!! Thank you! Also, American Patchwork & Quilting was always my favorite quilting magazine subscription.

After crawling around on the floor and unsuccessfully basting a quilt which ended up with wrinkles and crooked I went out bought 3 new pool noodles and started again. Almost perfect results with less back strain and frustration.

Such clear and easy instructions! I guess I initially thought about making my gussets as box panels, but your way looks so much easier. Also, I have been looking at hot hem rulers, but I didn't know that I could use manilla folders. Do you know the iron settings you should use? I wouldn't want to melt or burn it. Ty for your post and pattern.
