I do still believe that with better post pen damage (and better skill than mine) they could work at a higher br, if maybe for a cheaper cost spawn points wise. It would definitely improve immersion which was the goal. I like the name "Squash panzer" tho

I don't see these tanks performing worse in 8.0. I actually find myself being better in them at higher br, especially since there are fewer heavily armored vehicles (that you can't pen) but also in general less deadly post penetration rounds being fired.

Ikr, these spg's can easily be moved up in br considering the fact that they can one shot everything, and everything can easily kill them in return. Especially vehicles like the Vidar are facking criminal. Definitely not everything can be moved to it's historical br, but they can definitely make an effort to separate the WW2 and cold war vehicles

Lets think this through: Historical Matchmaking has Early WW2 France as the strongest ground nation, Russia gets T34 and KV1 very early but because of supply issues you can only fire HE until 1942 Battlerating. Soviet tanks suffer from worse quality in production and borderline unusable scopes until late 1943 when lend lease supplied the russians with large amounts of optics for tanks. German tanks are only available in very slim numbers and suffer from extremely poor reliability and run out of fuel mid battle, the luftwaffe is nowhere to be found from 1941 onward. Germany latewar is just Pz4 and Stug with 1 Tiger, 1 king tiger and two panthers in the entire team, meanwhile soviets and americans get three spawns per tank and a massive buff in availability of CAS. Postwar the shitfest gets even more ridiculous: American Aircraft essentially all go down by 2 entire BR steps, so F-15 gets to fight Mig23MLD, F-15C gets to club early SU-27 and Mig29. IRL the soviets knew they stood no chance of ever contesting airspace against the americans using aircraft, hence they developed so much more GBAD. Tank-wise its a lot more equal until around ~1980, where M1 Abrams and Leopard 2 get to face T-64B and T-72A, with the power difference only growing further the more modern you go. 1990 sees Leopard 2A5, Challenger 2 and M1A2 face of against T-90A, while now russian tank and aircraft availability drastically decreases as the soviet union collapsed. Before crying for historical matchmaking, think about what it really would entail. You do not want this, unless you are playing USA Air.

Idk what Japan has exactly at 5.7, but maybe they just have better guns at that br? The American 76 can be a bit tricky to handle compared to say a Russian 85 or 17pdr due to how inconsistent guns are in this game

@@GetGaejined yes American 76 is really tricky, most of the time I get sent to 6.7 as I peek into a corner using a 76 Sherman seeing a king Tiger knowing that ur Sherman can do next to nothing frontally to that tank lol

Yes it's so much fun haha. Also the armor layout of the T 14 just got released and it turns out to not be very good at all, so I think the chances of the T 14 being added just increased a good bit!

I think vehicles like the T34 and super Pershing can be very enjoyable, but yeah most things higher that those are absolute torture

@GetGaejined oh that's the best part: the only environmental thing i could use was the fire from burning wagons and the likes, and I get the weeklies and highest levels of arcade are suppose to be hard but they've really shown just how unfair it can be at times

It’s the arcade style of it that’s addictive and hence why it’s called arcade the fact that you can take in your favorite characters and they get buffs because of their high level and beating the levels too because of their difficulty is addicting

@@GetGaejinedsome good cheese i’ve noticed while grinding for good effects is that the orbital strikes breaks the ai mind. like at 19:23 you can see that even tho bot already got hit but the orbital it still locks off you and runs out of the no longer existing area of effect.

I will agree with the Archers, but the minions tend to not be an issue [Except on the map where you have to fight in a minion lane no matter what you do]

Normal minions usually aren't the worst, but they can stun hit you on rare occasions and do a decent amount of chip damage

@@GetGaejined this might just be from experience, but I tend to kill minions before they can do any damage; maybe a combination of wide heavy hit boxes for my favourite characters.

True, I have noticed a similar pattern as well, but to me it feels more like being encouraged to not play the game the way it's supposed to be played. I see a similar thing with the hero selection where your hero has to have a high gear score, basically discouraging you from trying out different heroes

What do you mean? Level 3 bots work off of a algorithm that records your decisions and makes guesses dependent on what you do most often, repeat the same mixup, and they will adapt. But, if you swap it up with a different decision, it will almost ALWAYS work.

@@pyroplays599 My guy im speaking about the modifiers, when you have "no UI" and "bleeds to death" and you have to go up against 3 enemies all with modifiers like "attacks drain stamina"+"knocks down"+"max HP increased", your only chance of winning would be to ledge them or throw them in spikes or fire or anything to help you win, because like i said, unless you're stupidly good at the game, which i am not, you won't win because you're not MEANT to win that way.

Shortly after making this video I also got the 2a6 and it is indeed a very nice vehicle, that L55 absolutely wrecks. Still I have a soft spot for the Russian mbt's tho, it all comes down to personal prefference ig

Yeah I get you, top tier in general rn is kinda rough. I personally also prefer the T90m (Both visually and gameplay wise) over the BVM tho tbf I haven't really upgraded the BVM yet. I think with the BVM you might have to kinda use your mobility to survive in contrast to the T 90 than can rely on his spall liners. Both have great armor tho imo

@@GetGaejined The BVM has an issue, evidence in its name, its a T-80B with extra stuff, whrre the T-90M has a whole new turret and armour layout, thw BVM has the same turret as a tank at 10.3, meaning alot of higher tier shells can just lol pen parts of yhe turret making it kinda annoying to play, the hull armour is good but most players are good enough not to shoot there, the T-90M is just better imo, LWS, commander thermals, better armour and cooler looks make it more enjoyable

A small incline is indeed the greatest opponent of any Russian mbt

and they still dominate the battlefield most of the time, due to how forgiving their armor and firepower are.

You have no idea how badly I want to go back to the time when the maus and is 4m were the strongest vehicles in the game. It looks like a so much more fun and balanced game back than, and the community looked much healthier. I'm so sad I never got to experience that

@@Evilducttapeman I don't think tanks will ever really die out seeing as the armor and firepower are always useful/needed. Even in Ukraine soldiers have shown how scared they are of tanks. The Ukrainian war has shown these legitimate threats to tanks tho, and I'm interested in seeing how these will impact tank design in the future

@@GetGaejined tanks have a major flaw that no one talks about. Tanks can’t hold ground. You need infantry. Tanks make sense for countries like America where 3% of gdp is 1 trillion dollars. We have the cash flow to have specialized equipment. The US marine corps got rid of our tanks for several reasons and one of them is the changing battle field with stand off weapon systems. You’ve seen about 3 recorded tank duels in Ukraine. The last tank on tank engagement was the battle of 73 Hastings. Iraq got their asses handed to them and it was because of technology superior force.

I think Russia can already be very competative (I just played very dumb) with the shit ton of mbt's you already have, not to mention the amount of CAS Russia gets. Having said that I wouldn't be suprised if we're getting a newer modification of the T90m or T72B3 or yet _another_ T80

BVM, T90M, Pantsir, BMP-2M, and 2S38 (especially after buff) is literally all you need to be extremely competitive at top tier

@@ChaosKoda Tbf, the BVM has no armour (compared to other 11.7s like Leo 2a7), has no reverse speed, a really mid shell, and no depression, you're just like a few km/h faster, the T-90M has better armour and is very nic ebut suffers a reverse speed issue, the 2M and 2S38 are excellent and the pantsir is p OP, but i dont think the MBTs are spectacular, they are just good

I fully agree, I think a much better way to do it would be to make it so you have to unlock te tier for the country you want to buy a premium for. So say you want to buy a tier 5 premium for America, you'd first have to unlock tier 5 for the US by playing the normal tech tree

I'm sorry to say that might have indeed been a poor decision haha. I'd only recommend buying a premium if you already have vehicles at the same tier, so you're already familiar with the tier you're playing at, and have vehicles to back up your premiums. I respect the choice to grind France and Japan tho!
