It's totally crazy that the whole receiver needs to be stripped down to replace a part which will wear out easily. 🤷♂ Thanks for the video, Andy. 🙂👍

Agree, but then again it’s a piece of cake compared to changing out parts in an iPhone, which are also prone to wear-down. Must say that the way it has been put together at least looks well engineered. Nice video.

I don't see any thermal runaway protection for the battery. Isn't that a must-have for li-ion batteries? There are only two wires to the battery, positive and negative, and no visible thermal sensor on the circuit board.

What was the reason for replacing the decoder, was it intermittent? A lot of them can be restored to working just by squiritng in some contact cleaner. Also this guy needs to get a microphone so we can hear him!

In my case the encoder had a dead part, no more reaction for a half turn.. I tried with contact cleaner but no luck..
@adrianfox9431Ай бұрын
I tried that and it didn't work. I think the issue is the encoder gets worn out rather than dirty. They could save wear on it by implementing progressive tuning.

The original malahit is made in russia by two ham radio amateurs. The waiting time is very long and the momentary situation made it very difficult to pay to russia. So they gave license to some chinese companies to build 'clones' in china with full licensed software. There are different models of clones on the market, but this M2 chinese malahit is the most robust made case, very nice design and very professional inside with good quality parts.
