I’ve been meaning to comment before, but just wanted to say thank you so much for all your videos. I’m a new mom of 2 and I recently started working night shift for an insurance company doing utilization review….and your videos have definitely help with this transition.

How on earth do you do a virtual skin check? Colors are not true on a monitor. Do patients show you their skin? I assume your patients ate mobile. Wound care nurse asking.

@@marahedgcock6318 yeah so bedside nurse is present for this. Pts turn to show you their skin. There are two different types of cameras the virtual nurse can use for a skin check. The second camera is high definition so the skin is visible and seen very well. This is mostly done with pts that are able to turn them selves. You can see the skin from all angles and the virtual nurse signs off with the beside nurse as a witness.

@@thetruthsayer8347 Incorrect. There will always be a nurse needed in person. A nurse can virtually only do so much. All this does is take off the load from the nurse still working the floor who would have to do admissions AND take care of the patient. The actual opposite is happening. There is a shortage and more nurses will be needed considering the amount of boomers that have retired from the field.

They do well it depends on where they are working. Remote seems to be the lowest. Most acute facilities are not. Then there's resource and travel.

If you live in an at-will state, you can leave a position the same day, or next day, no notice required. The employer in at-will state can also let employee go in same manner w no notice.
