Nice little breath of sea air. Thanks. Is that an electric outboard you have on the stern? Do you not have an inboard motor - or what do you use it for?

Thanks! Actually that electric outboard is for my dinghy. I bought the long shaft version and sometimes using as stern thruster in the marinas when wind is coming from wrong position. It helps me to turn the boat 360. (long keel boats as you know difficult sometimes) 😊😊 Still has the original volvo penta never had any issue with it.

@@sailingalabanda8516 a Marieholm 33/Fortissimo - wow. Best, fastest longkeel upwind sailingboat ever. The boat, that Lars Olav Norlin built for himself. For years I dreamt of having one. Now I sail L.O. Norlins first design, an Allegro 27. Small go anywhere boat like your Vega.

@@helmrichharms2225 I have been also checking allegro models too. I like Norlins designs and so far boat behaves good and fells safe. I am now preparing her for this season, didn't have time to sail different conditions yet, exciting to learn.

Nice little video, capture the essence of sailing quite well. I guess that is something all of us KZbin sailors try to do. But i guess we all have different perspectives. There are just to many channels focusing on " drama,bikini, party and glamour " sailing trying to live a life based on e-bagging. Thank you for being better than that. @@sailingalabanda8516 Would you recommend getting Albin Vega or Ballad which is a bit bigger would bring more emotional satisfaction?

@@limaprotos698 if you plan to sail solo only, Vega has enough space (at least for me)and easy to handle. If you are with your partner most of the time, I would go for a bigger space though. regardless both great boats. All depends your personal choice of comfort I think :)

I had 80 watt foldable solar panels that i was hanging on the railings however after 2 years they started to bend and lost their efficiency. Now i placed a fixed 90 watt solar panel on the railing i am very happy with it.

Alabanda is a sailing term in Turkish means full steering to port or starboard side. I think originally an old Italian word. I am Turkish originally so I like how it sounds 😊

Just spotted this today, lovely solo sail and really well made video. The exact reason I bought a Vega (822) is to be able to head out by yourself and take it easy. (have to fault you on the coffee though)...

Indeed, she is great, easy to handle alone and big enough for more people to accommodate! Solid design. I am just trying to express how I feel when I sail with my Vega. hahah I am a coffee addict actually but only able to make proper coffee when I anchored or no traffic :) Thanks again and fair winds to Vega 822 sister!

Lovely music and lovely city. Which city in the netherlands you are? I wanted to go to Stavoren with my 23ft boat from this year. But because C. I stopped this plan for the moment... Maybe next year and then maybe with a Vega if I find a good one in netherland... 😉

Thank you very much! It is Rotterdam, we have nice old harbors around with traditional Dutch cargo sail boats. Covid changed so many plans unfortunately :( Stavoren is lovely place to stop by when you are around Ijsselmeer! A lot of Vega's are coming to the market here in the Netherlands every now and then. Check marktplaats.nl for hunting boat. Good luck!

I love to sail singlehanded too. But you must wear a PFD to be on the safe side when you are alone.
