Hi! Thank you so much for this great how-to video! I had no idea this was such a simple fix. I'm a 64 year-old female but I think I could change this out myself. 😊 Two questions: Will this motor (with the same OEM # as yours) fit my 2009 Subaru Legacy Sedan? Also, I probably need to change out the nearby filter. Do you have any info on the filter I would need and exactly what it's called? I'd appreciate your reply. I know practically nothing about parts. Thanks again for your awesome instructional clip. Impressive!

What year is your OBXT? I heard it's best to attempt this job with 1/2 a tank of gas or less, also opening the gas cap to release pressure. Thanks for the video, very helpful.

it was an 05. it would be slightly less messy with less fuel but it's not required. good luck!

Forgot to ask, did you have to get a tune after the install because of the increased fuel pressure?

@@Mike_44 no, that is not needed because the stock regulator will work just fine with the increased output pump as the excess will be returned to the tank. the increased output only comes into play in areas where you would've had a loss of fuel pressure with the OEM pump.

After you disconnected the AC line on your condenser, did you lose any of the AC refrigerant? Also, did you have to re-service the AC system after all? My mechanic replaced my radiator and all of sudden my AC not blowing cold air at all. It was absolutely blowing icy air before though. Anybody have any idea? I have a feeling that AC line is related.

hey, in my case, i got the car with a leaking condenser, so it was already empty. first thing i would check is to see if your clutch is engaging when you turn the AC on. if not - then you should get some a/c gauges and check your pressures. most chain auto shops will have a set that you can rent for free. i'd start from there. you wouldn't need to disconnect any a/c hardware to replace the radiator.

Haters: Maybe dude had a reason for doing it this way. Maybe it worked better for him. He may have done folks a favor by posting up a vid at all; some folks need a longer vid to get a better idea of how to do this, which shorter and “more efficient” vids may not have due to shortcutting (you know, because of that whole efficiency thing). So what if somebody’s way takes longer than another’s? The job is getting done, which is the point. Got a better and more detailed vid? Post it.
