It was most likely a title / lien issue. My youngest kid brought a fairly new used car from a new car dealership. The sales process wasnt bad at all.. But after the sale, The car manufacturer had a lien out on the title to which the dealer sent payoff in the wrong amount. Thus the DMV never got the release for the lien to issue the new tag. it took the dealer like 4 months to finally reslove the issue. The state tag office had to step in to give a special tag permit so the car could be legally driven while the mess played out...

@Buses2Bikes5 ай бұрын
It uses satellites so it's prolly your car that is off and not the GPS /odometer. Might be as easy a fix as making sure your tires are properly inflated so your dash odometer reads as accurate as possible. Or if you changed tire size, that could throw off the car's odometer too. If you're 100% sure it's the GPS Odometer that's off...do you live in a mountainous/heavy tree area? Those features may cause a lag in satellite data/signal reaching the unit and causing inaccurate readings.

@@Buses2Bikes Production speedos are designed to overread as well so i guess this makes sense. May I ask how was the delay under hard acceleration/braking? I can live with slight over read but not delay.
@Buses2Bikes5 ай бұрын
@@Cornerer1 From what we could tell it either under-read or over-read for only a couple of seconds when we changed speed. And that we figure was the lag time for the satellites to ping back with the correct speed. But again, it was only 1 MPH up/down for a second or two than it read correctly again. For $20 I think that is acceptable performance.
@bryanwadd3 ай бұрын
@@Buses2Bikes Satellites don't ping the speed, that's not how it works. They send a constant stream of packets of data with a time stamp in them which the GPS speedo picks up. Getting enough of these streams of data from multiple satellites enable the unit to calculate position, and therefore distance from one position to the next (if you're moving), and therefore speed can be calculated when time from one position to the next is taken into account.

@@kaizupiano7826 There's a needle at the top of the carb in the slide. That may be set incorrectly or may be missing the small plastic piece/ring that the needle needs to sit down in to. Have you checked any of that? If all of that checks out and it's set correctly...than I would just go buy another carburetor. They are cheap and you can get a very good out of the box Nibbi Clone, a PWK 24mm , for the Mid $20s, and an appropriate intake manifold that comes with the hose attachment for another $12 to $13. you have an air leak. You need to remove the carb and the intake from the engine. Then re-align the intake to the carb. You have to make sure the transition from carb to intake in the throat is smooth with no rubber o-ring visible when you look from either direction inside. And don't crush the o-ring when you tighten it down. Snug each nut down an equal number of turns until the intake is snug to the carb flange. 2 or 3 turns to one side, 2 or 3 turns to the other...back and forth until it's snug. And you have to keep checking down in the throat to make sure the alignment didn't get messed up.
