Thank you very much. I have long wondered about the Bön faith. This excellent work on your part has revealed much that was unknown to greater public. Do you know if there is any connection between the Bön faith, as you know it, and Kashmir Shaivism? It seems to me there might be some shared history. Perhaps tantra can only be experienced, and not taught. May every blessing be yours.
@FPYB2 жыл бұрын
According to a great Tibetan Buddhist master and scholar Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Kahniri Shaivism was influenced by Yungdrung Bon. We concur.

Tantra must be both taught and experienced.

My device a bit glichy but very interesting research. I watched a Ruben Museum lecture series on Guru Rinpoche that seemed to suggest that he too is largely a mythical character with similar purposes to those attributed here, re the consolidation of Buddhism. The researcher found no historical evidence of such a person.
@FPYB2 жыл бұрын
Yes, Padmasabhava has also a lot of mythical material added to his image at a later date.

Dear friends, when visualizing the two-fold secret chakra, is the upper part in the usual place (four fingers under navel) and the lower part in the perineum area? Thank you

Lower chakra in this case located at the real 'secret place' at level of the genitals

I wish to thank all the kind, wise simplicity involved in the making of this film and recognize the great reverence shown daily by all the participants, our worldwide tribes do well to dispel all the negativity on the holy face of our Earth on this the day after Earth Day 2020, All Hail The Bon Practitioners, and Bonpo"s who still wander the less traveled paths in this life!

Why does it say Eurasian?? TIBET is in Central East Asia. Eurasia is more like Russia, Parts of Iran, mabe Afghanistan. The word Eurasia Actually is an implication of the mixing of European and Asian, hence Eurasian. So I find this a very curious thing.
@saffiyehbrandhijaffer-mcne28004 жыл бұрын
O I c... He is using Siberia ??? As the qualifications for the word Eurasia, perhaps. Although Siberia is part of Russia, it's not really Europe though. Russia is in Asia...not Europe. Russian People are considered Asian ...not Eiuropean...not in our understanding at least.
@FPYB2 жыл бұрын
Eurasia is the name of the continent which is divided into Europe and Asia for the sake of convenince. The dividing line between Europe and Asia runs along the Ural mountains. Territories to the West of the Urals are considered Europe and to the East considered as being Asia. Tibet is variously described as being part of Central or Inner Asia but Prehistoric Bon was practised in many locations beyond Tibet in both Europe and Asia, hence the label 'Prehistoric Bon of Eurasia'.

@@saffiyehbrandhijaffer-mcne2800 Modern Russia is in both Europe and Asia. For the rest please see response above.
