I tried reading this book as a semi-avid, 28 year old reader and got very bored 50 pages in. Just want to understand the cultural significance of this book.

Human Greed is Paramount.

We had to do an essay piece on this in year 10.. To be honest: I didn't read the book and wasn't interested in writing an essay (I was worried more about having fun playing video games). Fast forward some 30+ years and I now finally understand the story after listening to this summary.. Thanks heaps!
