Right now it’s a cross over wagon , but if they make frame more bulkier and 3.7 engine but the same style body , Lexus will take over the line from MB 450 and 350gle also bmw . Heck I’ll get on the van wagon .

The leather was rare, but there was one for sale in NJ a couple of years ago.. My grandparents looked at the tallisman, but my grand mother didn't like the console, she bought an Eldorado instead

NICE CADDY!!!! I will agree it is one of the best looking cars. The Art & Science style is still cool. I wanted one from day one but they are always out of reach for me. I was able to buy a 13 CTS4 Performance coupe, which I LOVE! It's as close as I'll get to a XLR and that's OK. Thx Still have the XLR?

The new generation full-size GM line in 1992 had a real chance: the Fleetwood, Roadmaster, Custom Cruiser, and Caprice. Unfortunately, the styles just didn’t cut it, especially with the Caprice. Though this Fleetwood is beautiful, it had nothing on the styling of the generation before it, especially interior-wise. The Sedan deVille was much better appointed. I had a choice in 1995 between a LeSabre, Park Avenue, and Roadmaster, and for more than one reason chose the LeSabre. Never regretted it. Great video.

RE: "lack of exhaust sound" Cadillac did this on purpose in the cases of both the XLR-V and the STS-V. Both cars used the Northstar engine. This was the early days of the V performance division when Cadillac was trying to shed its stodgy reputation as an old man's car. Executives wanted to hedge their bets by keeping some of its V lineup more muted. Both the STS and the XLR were flagships, competing with the Mercedes S Class and SL roadster respectively. The client demographic in both cases was older and deemed less likely to enjoy big thundering engines. They soon discovered that the CTS V was attracting younger buyers and selling like mad. Of course, we all know that the CTS was powered by the Corvette V8, rather than the Northstar. In the second generation, Cadillac dumped the full size executive sedan and the roadster, focusing rather on (and improving) the CTS, as well as later the ATS. The larger sedan had one last hurrah with the CT6-V Blackwing, which was obviously a limited run offering and also used a smaller displacement V8. If I were suddenly obscenely wealthy, I would fill a garage with Cadillac V cars. They are monuments to the quality of American engineering when corporate bean counters actually get out of the way and allow them to build world class cars.

A few more comments: The overall lengths for the 1974-'76 full-sized, RWD Cadillacs were- Fleetwood Seventy-Five 252.2", Fleetwood Brougham 233.7" and de Ville and Calais 230.7". Also, fuel injection was an option. Rated at 215 hp and 400 lbs-ft torque but was not available on the Fleetwood Seventy-Five.

Such well-built machine with so much style and flare. One of my favorite Cadillacs, especially the 4 window Sedan DeVille. It was less bulky which balanced the fins and skags better than on the ither models.

Not a Powerflite auto transmission but a Torqueflite - you can tell by the 1 and 2 buttons. Powerflite (two speeds or gear ratios plus 4 element torque converter instead of the usual 3 elements) was the first Chrysler fully automatic transmission, available on 1954 models and used on some Chrysler products through 1961. Torqueflite with a 3 element torque converter but 3 speeds came out in late 1956.

The hemi V8 was discontinued the year before in 1958. It was bigger, heavier, and more expensive to make than the replacement V8, and engineering of wedge heads had improved since the hemi V8 was introduced in 1951. A hemi head engine also generally needs higher octane gas than a wedge head of the same compression ratio.

Actually the first two years of the non-Chrysler branded Imperials, 1955 and 1956, WERE still rebranded Chryslers. The 1955 had its own rear fender with a full wheel opening (shown at 2:57, except that is a stretched limo version done by Ghia) but the 1956 reverted to Chrysler rear fenders. In 1957 all Chrysler products were new and shared the same basic body and frame except Imperials, so that's when Imperials became really different cars from Chryslers. 1957 Imperials were the first mass production car with curved glass side windows, something other Chrysler products didn't get until 1965. Of course a lot was still shared like engines and transmissions etc.

This video is full of nickle dime bitching and moaning about things that didnt exist in 2006. Cars didnt sound "agressive" from the factory in 2006. Car interiors took a massive leap around 2010 or so comparing a 2006 is crazy.

This was such a great video, thank you! I really appreciate your review style. The love you have for these cars and the stories behind them really shines through. I particularly enjoyed the red '57 coupe story where the salesperson and the buyer were reunited after decades. After watching several of your reviews, this one clinched 😊the deal, I'm subscribed now. 😊👍🏼

A popular mistake of this age's drivers is to floor the brake pedal when they stop the car. You can see at 0:30 the car doesn't love that, and it makes awful expression when you stop like that. You have to be gently like with a proper lady.

I'm thinkin the badge Fleetwood on the passenger side is that in this case the electric seat changer is in the door but some are put on the side of the seat! Or maybe since the driver (owner) already knows the passenger will wanna hurry up and run out and by a Cadillac and more enthused that it's a Fleetwood and body by Fisher so they don't buy a Lincoln!
