Yeah it seems like he was cruel. But they were really good friends. Richard Simmons was a guest a few times on David Letterman’s show. He was just teasing Richard. And I think Richard knew it.

The show became too big. Doesnt have the intimacy it once did. The applause for each kid ruins it. Before , there was an air of awkward Tension and discomfort. Too bad, it was a good show in the beginning. And, that Chenney reference, really? DL is such a leftist.
