Game looks good overall. Chipping weapons in HQ does NOT sound like fun to me.

Thanks .. HQ overall is an easy game and the Heroes are almost never really challenged.. adding the weapon piece is a fantastic mechanic.. you’ll find other weapons along the way usually so it becomes a little bit of an equipment management thing… adds a new level of complexity without being to hard ..that I’m really enjoying

When I make inserts for my games, I usually make card holders so that the cards stack up horizontally. Do you prefer card holders where the cards lay flat?

Hi there! .. I do prefer them to lie down..the main goal is to have them fit in the box and then when I am ready to play I can just put out all the trays and I’m ready to go!

Pedro, do you have stl for the tower? How did you make them?

Sorry, no STLs..The towers were made from XPS foam .. I used traditional tabletop terrain making skills for these … 🤓

This is amazing! My biggest gripe about One Deck Dungeon is how messy the table can get with all the cards, and yu just turned it into a beautfiul boardgame! Wish I had one

I hope Avallon Hill will release this eventually. I love their current release of Hero Quest, but as a former RPG player, I do fancy some more advanced rules ^^

Yes … the first doorway to the hallway we essentially tooled for wandering monsters.. and then for each door opened we rolled for room type and checked for furniture for those.. they were both normal rooms.

@@pedrowayne4675 wow that's surprisingly affordable. I use a 2710 but it's nowhere near this quality. I will give it a crack on high quality with the gloss paper though. I wouldn't mind whipping up some dungeon tiles.

Cool to see it played. What about an event where something has followed the party into the dungeon, taking a random route around it until it has line of sight on the party. It could catch up with them at a bad time or split the party's attention.

Hey there! .. I’m really refining the mechanics .. one of the things I love about AHQ is that you can add or change it to fit how you want to play it with minimal affect to the main game play flow…That seems to be a main aspect of a lot of older games. .. I’ve played thru this level once and am trying it again with some new aspects.. when I land on some solid additions I’ll film another episode with those.

It's great to see all your creations in a video (following the FB posts). Do you mostly play solo? Im surprised you still have time to play after crafting all this goodness (must take quite some time. )

Thanks for the kind words.. yes I primarily play solo .. this is where I find out if the build actually works 😅.. with this play so far I’ve designed and printed out another couple things and decided to add some play mechanics too.. AxianQuest cards and some reference cards. ..finding my stride with this adventure and I can feel it getting tighter in terms of play flow

Staedtler, nice! I think they also make the triangular colored pencils. (At least the case looks similar). Which I used a ton of back in high school/college when I was drawing a lot of pictures based on the worlds I imagined after playing my first few games of Magic: The Gathering.

Thank you for video! I just received my core set box and jumped right into gameplay. From box to ending first scenario about 1 hour. Character creation is so amazing. You can easily create a skill/spell set that suits your play style. Melee/ranged/tank/caster dps/caster buff party / caster debuff foes / rogue, etc. the variety of combinations is limited only by imagination. Great game so far at 3 days into it.

I recently reprinted this ..again… Deiter has updated his work with a white pages color version and I really love it! Reprinted both books and assembled the adventures individually now .. I’ll try to post that evolution soon

It’s primarily played with modular tiles .. but there are options to play on the HQ board. I have an adventure called the Manor of Asmodine which utilizes the HQ board .. and then there’s a random table for a Hatch door find that has you descending into … the maze! (Main HQ board)

I don’t have the “OG” but I got a good similar look from Advanced Heroquest Reforged.. if you google that, find the downloads and you can get the tiles and tokens

@@pedrowayne4675 The Drifter is a solitaire game. The others I play with an adversary, though Cowboys can be played both sides. Revolver and Fistful of Lead are a bit trickier. Thanks again.
