I’m a single person. Which restaurants are Ok to go alone. I am from New York. No problem going to a restaurant alone. I find Perth treats a single person like something is wrong with them.

As someone who lived in Perth for 11 years and moved to Melbourne this year, I'd add these for the Perth life: Cons: - Connectivity - Most isolated capital city, which makes it harder to be move around domestically and internationally. I believe has an element to play into my next point. - Mental isolation - WA has a short-man syndrome, with people really wanting to drive home the point of "We don't need anyone else". This inferiority complex is very off-putting and makes everyone here live inside a bubble. - Driving - WA drivers are THE. WORST. DRIVERS. It is a daily occurrence to be sitting behind someone doing 10kmph less than the speed limit, in the right-most lane of the freeway, or for 3 drops of water to fall from the sky and see accidents stack up on the streets. - Diversity - WA is not a melting pot of cultures by any means and it shows in the way of thinking of the locals. Every third person works for the mining industry, which doesn't help with this aspect either. Pros: - Accessible beaches - Most pristine beaches and within 20-30 minutes of most places! Truly a luxury. - Weather - I know you covered this but this can't be emphasised enough. With the exception of a month or two, most of the year is pristine.

@@SundayswithJamie Thanks so much for your informative videos, Jamie. Believe it or not, I watched some of your videos many months ago to get a feel for the Melbourne life before moving. It was very informative and I love how calm and positive your demeanour regarding everything you explain is. Also, I read back my response here again and it sounds so spiteful and negative! 😬😬 That was certainly not the intended tone haha, I could learn a thing or two from your approach.

Hi Jamie. I’m sorry if you’ve answered this in another vlog. I’m moving from Melbourne to Perth next year and my partner and I are discussing whether to get a moving truck or just to get rid of everything (sad 😓) It has been super hard to find and information. I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind sharing the cost of your move or point me in the direction of where I would find out. Thanks
@SundayswithJamie8 күн бұрын
Hey Olivia, no worries at all! And how exciting about the move. Are you from Perth? This was a super tough decision for us as well! We sold a bunch of stuff (as much as we could) and ultimately decided to use a moving truck for the rest bc I didn’t want to get rid of everything. At the time of our move and based on how much stuff we had, it cost us $3K. We went with the Fragile Removals company and personally had a good experience with them but maybe check their recent reviews as it’s been a while! Hope that helps and let me know if you have any more questions ☺️

love this! we are only in Osaka for a few days. Would you say universal is worth it to use one of the days?
@SundayswithJamie12 күн бұрын
Thanks so much Catie! Yes, in my opinion it was so worth it even though we only spent a few days in Osaka. We’ve always seen it as one of the top attractions/must go recommendations in Osaka. I was particularly excited to go to Harry Potter world for the first time and I generally enjoy theme parks and rides! Hope that helps 😊
