I think a lot of preterists forget that Jesus said “of that day and hour, no man knows save for the father, not even the son of man.” So when using these signposts, says the generation that sees all these things happen will not pass away. That could be a few days after he ascended into heaven, that could be thousands of years from then. Jesus said the only one who knows is the father. Not to mention that if you say that we have to take “this generation will not pass away” literally, then we also have to take other plainly stated things literally. Like Jesus coming on the clouds so all the tribes of the earth will mourn when they see him. There would have to be a literal resurrection, where the dead in Christ and the living rise to meet him in the air. We can’t pick and choose when something is a metaphor and when something is literal. There needs to be some sort of metric. I simply employ English Comp 101. Sounds like discipleship is an extreme follower of Jesus. I don't believe that you have to be a disciple in order to be saved. I have not seen any biblical passages stating that to be true. Even looking at you and your videos, it seems like you're put together and live in a nice home. But in order to be a disciple, one criteria is that you need to give up all your possessions. Have you done that? I'm still looking into what discipleship really means, and how that correlates to a Christian life. But I think what Jesus is talking about is something that 99% of us Christians will not do. And I believe narrow is the path is the understanding that Grace is what saves you, not by our own works.
