Apart from this video, most often used and thus trained are grappling and takedown from behind, a hold from upper body or head, and push to lower torso, and another one is frontal grappling of the head, bending opponent forward and taking down with weight on top.

Yes it is allowed to grab one’s own weapon, including the blade, in outrance. Opponent’s weapon can not be grabbed by the blade.
