Interesting to see the differences between this and the standard saloons. Certainly a bit less chrome and a more utilitarian upholstery.

The SWEENY used a Ford Consul GT, it was much the same car but with w=a 2.5 litre v6 that had a shorter stroke engine so it revved up faster than the big 3.0 lire Granada

Engine sounded like a bag of spanners at one point so I’m glad you said the idle wasnt ideal . To my eye it’s a stunningly beautiful car , clearly there is that association with The Sweeney series which I grew up with . Cracking job sir 👌 👍🏴

You're right the valve clearance needs adjusting, and the carb needs a tune, other than them small issues the car drives well, looking forward to making a start back on the other MK1 Granada I have, the Sweeney project, thanks again

A very good, informative video. I have recently fitted a brand new cylinder head to my 1966 'BGT, but having watched this video, I have decided to take the car in to my trusted local garage, as I'm too cowardly to wave flames in the vicinity of the carburettors!

Hi Ian, thank you for your comment, about grinders with no guides, as the cutting dice get smaller the guide can obstruct my vision on the pavement that I'm cutting, Looking for a set of goggles that I can wear with glasses, and talk to the camera. In my last video, I tried a set of goggles, 3M have a set which I have on order 🕶👍 Nice collection of classic cars you have 👍
