I so wish i never started this

After I change my joycon shell my left controller is not working i don't know why I try to unplug the battery few times and it is still now working men I'm sad right now.......I just bought my Switch Oled andI don't like the color of switch oled so I change it to grey and now my left joycon is not working.

Great video. I’ve taken apart many controllers over the years. Never opened up a Switch until today. I swapped over to some classic SNES. I have to admit it was a bit of a pain in the ass. This video helped though!

Replacing the shells of both Joy-Cons can be the most hardest and stressful mission to accomplish.

2:15 i messed up; removed this ZL cable , i broke this tiny grey hinge accientally, tried to put the strip back in the place and glue it because i had no other options but the connection does not work anymore, tore it during the removal and now ordering a spare strip with button

Fetching Tech might swap out B button for ENTER and A button for RETURN

I was a little hesitant about doing the swap but thanks to this guy I didn't have any problems and the job turned out perfect for being my first time❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have ordered hall effect sticks to replace my old sticks, but I've always wantes to customize them like this, so I'm considering ordering shells and just doing it all at once. I'm not very experienced, but I've done some stuff. This doesn't seem as complicated as I was expecting. Thank you for the video.

A minute into the video I felt confident until my battery connected prongs ripped out of the connection point.

Just completed the right joy con, right along with you, a few pause and rewind ⏪ for me lol, took me 1 hour & yes one spring flew away from me when removing the trigger button just like you mentioned haha luckily I found it … eventually.. next time I’ll put my hand in a bag while removing the trigger button lol, thank you so much! I’ll do the left tmrw. !

Ive taken apart my joycons several times for lots of different reasons (button replacement, joystick repair, etc) but ive never done a full shell swap, just ordered some new shells i cant wait to get them

I tore the rumble feature right the fuck off that motherboard on both sides 🤦🏼‍♀️ But the rest of the joycon works! 😁 Success! (Mostly.)

Thank you man, I was so confident with your video and I kept pausing the vid after you showed every step and I successfully swapped my joy cons to a white shell for my oled because mine was second hand and came without them. If I ever need new joycons I would rather buy second hand ones and upgrade them with no drift joycons and a new shell. Im so happy with the result.

When I close the controller case, the LEDs don’t work anymore because the cables are bending. When I open it, they work :/

I tried removing the clip for the vibration motor, but it doesn't come out easy the way it did for you. In fact, I think I might've cracked it with the tweezers from gripping it too hard. I guess I'm stopping here, because I don't want to break anything else.

My husband doubted me when I dove into taking apart the joycon but this video was super helpful and was able to complete the right one. I tried to do the left joycon but the last screw is stripped and won't come out of the back of the shell so I'm satisfied with just changing one at this point, lol. But I feel confident now when I want to do it again in the future, Thank you!

How do we fix the line too long issue without changing new line? If the lines fold four signal lights won’t work …..

The tutorial is excellent. I follow the steps and everything went perfect. Just one thing: the ZL button broke when i tried to take it out as it is said in the video. For me it wasnt a problem cause I was changing the buttons to white ones. Just for you to know. Thank you so much for the tutorial
