My village I am proud of. Jeddo Mike used to make the best falafel in the village (probably the only place). Before he opened up the restaurant steakhouse, he used to have his "summer" restaurant on the open flat roof of Hanna Doumit's shop back in the old days. He also had a clothiers store in Brummana. Always a generous man, big heart, and a historian. Having lived in the US since 1983, I miss him, and many of the folks in this documentary, as most are no longer with us. The only small disappointment is there are no folks from the my part of the village, the upper neighborhood (Haret el-sayydeh) included here. Great documentary, keep it up and add a second part to it please before they are all gone. You must be related to Mimi and Leila?Bassam Salameh

Watching this gave me hope. There is a reason to go on living. Here in the Boston area i have a job a house but its pure misery. Im always longing and fantaciizing about living in the lebanese country side with my tribe, where i have a soul.

This does not only capture the history of the village, but the soul of its residents... Absolutely delightful work! I loved it

I lived in roumieh for a while as I was a student in the LU there and needed a nearby dorm :) I always noticed that most of the inhabitants were old and how quiet and peaceful the village was. This documentary feels like such a breath of fresh air.

Beauuuuuuutiful and very touching ❤❤❤👏👏👏👏the concept, the filming, the content ❤❤I hope you will get to create more and more documentaries, I only have one wish, ya reit, at least towards the end, to see those beautiful old people within their descendants context, maybe have some of young temoignages that would show how young people are still attached to their grandparents and to their villages. I know not all are, but it could inspire those who are not to listen more to what older people's stories. You made me recall my grandma and her village and I enjoyed every second. Thank you so much and wish to watch more of your beautiful work ❤❤❤
