Like Anthony, I watched this one years ago on the edited VHS and it kinda slipped through the cracks. On rewatching it a couple of years ago, I completely reevaluated it and came to the conclusion it was an absolute masterpiece. Now in my top 3 Baker stories. It’s interesting you don’t mention The Doctor as much, during this discussion. This and the next story are great examples of fast paced and packed storylines, with a wonderful ensemble cast, with the Doctor and Sarah, going along for the ride….

I suspected when I first saw this story, the man Kellman was a villain from the minute he appeared in the story and also the Vogans were bloody terrible.

I like the original script for return of the Cybermen better than revenge of the Cybermen, and also IMO return is billions of times better than revenge and also I liked the human miners trapped on the planet of gold Voga which was in the original script was nameless and also the Cybermen were portrayed better in billions of better than in the broadcast version. I also say the wookey hole location in the broadcast version, looks awesome but the original been entirely studio bound version IMO is billions of times better and the woman Anitra is awesome a shame she was written out of the broadcast version revenge. I give return 7.5 out of 10 and revenge I give 4 out of 10.
