I remember in 1962 bothering my dad for sixpenny pieces at his Working Men's Club, so I could play Telstar repeatedly on the jukebox.

I worked with the Original Hermits back in the early 70s & had a blast. They were the best musicians I worked with, Barry (the only original Hermit here) is a great drummer and I remember Tommy James once saying to me that he wished he could get Barry to play drums for his group.

A few months ago, it was my birthday and I wanted to travel to a beach in Mexico by motorcycle (Acapulco). All my friends and family didn't want to come with me. I felt a little alone because it was a special date, but during part of the trip I heard this song and I want to tell you not to be afraid of life, I had an incredible time and these are memories that I will have for a lifetime. do antything you wanna do!

👍Mud👍

I remember seeing this performance in 1969 when I was nine years old. I loved the sound of just the vocals and handclaps when the band faded out - it had such an optimistic, uplifting sound, . I'm not far off 65 now, but it's taken me right back to that time. It's lovely to see it again.

I was thirteen in 62 and I remember listening to this song and dreaming the world would be better and better...I thought the human beings would improve with the new technology. It for me, was a pre Imagine song. There was a version by singer, only here in Brazil with lyrics in Portuguese saying that...Up there in the sky there is a city that cares for us.. I didn't know it was the first number one British single in America. I thought it was Apache by The Shadows. But then, we didn't even know Tornadoes was a British Band. It still touches my heart and I still imagine a world ruled by love.
