It’s just instinct, looking at thousands of races I can tell quite easily if I’ll bet on a race or not. But I will work on explaining why a bit better.

@ yer I get that but gaelic is unbelievable over 2, 2,4 and 3 miles. Just look at his debut chase and the faugheen novice chase. Then fact to file. Destroyed him. Just think fact would 100% win the Ryanair. I don’t think he makes the first 2 in a gold cup. Just my opinion

Why does it have to stop. As long as horse racing exists there will always be comparisons & it doesn’t matter what ratings you throw at people, it’s not fact, just subjective opinions by a select group of people. I grew up listening to everybody telling me there would never be another Arkle, but I saw Kauto Star & nobody will convince me that Arkle was on another level even though he was rated 212 & Kauto rated 191, that’s just my opinion. For what it’s worth I agree that Frankel was a freak & City of Troy could absolutely bomb out next weekend at Newmarket, but it’s what makes racing fun.💚

Looking back over the race it’s a very poor analysis that you gave. Your total dismissal of Augusta Rodin( derby winner) and also made no reference to the AoB factor whatsoever. Time and time again AoB has got horses peaking again after poor runs and a tipster like yourself should see this especially when ordinary Joe Soaps like myself can see it. If you don’t counts Derby winner at 7/2 as value well I think you in cloud cuckoo land especially when it comes to the donkeys you have been classing as value this past 7 months
