How big an engine is the John Deere ? I suppose a diesel is harder to start than a petrol due to the higher compression needed as well. Just needs a really good battery I suppose.

I used to have the exact same problem on my Indian motorcycle in the winter. It was a 1200 with the most miniscule compartment for the battery. If the battery was just slightly under it wouldn't start it. It was a VTwin so it was needing to move too big 600cc cylinders and it just wouldn't do it. Left me stranded a couple of times so it got sold for the BMW I have now which is 100 x better. It also has a charging port so easy charge up. Bring back the old machines that had a decompression valve on them and you could switch that on for starting and still charge with a half cock battery !

The battery is knackered on the John deere as I switched the tractor off. It would not start again. The 4x4 tried a phew time's, and nothing .

Chipper bolts are usually really tight and shallow. Make sure you've got a six point socket that fits really well and grind the face of the socket back a mm this will help it from slipping.

Hole in lid to stop vacuum stopping further diesel going through - as diesel goes away air will be sucked in to stop a vacuum stopping diesel going away down the pipe.

@choppercam01 just two days of snow ❄️ been 1 mile above sea level, I get all the bad weather. Most of the time, I live in the cloud ☁️ 😶🌫️ or fog. It's turned into ice up here. 2inch thick on the country lanes.

It is a Umarex BB gun, it is not real, the cartridges have the holes to insert the BBs and the hammer is slightly raised to release the gas when firing.

If I’m not wrong that’s BB gun, the cartridges look like they fit something in them no?? If the grip has a curve on the side for easily removing, there’s a hollow space on the inside where you’d store a C02 cartridge

at least the most important side of the shed roof was still intact protecting all of your electrical equipment. my shed roof is starting to come off at 30 years old. same age as myself. will need to reinforce it soon or this will happen. hope you sorted everything out and nothing was damaged as a result 👍

I'm a professional welder, although my pipe fitter mate I've known since I was 6 always questions that lol, they all need grinding clean and welding flush multi'pass style. I reckon someone inexperienced with cell rods has done it, 70/8018 4mm or 5mm even better be fine, but I rkn there's some slight in there for sure. Def not pro welder.
