I’m confused about something, I paid with my HSA card for a product that qualifies to be paid with HSA and I got a letter of medical necessity from Dr. my question is, the money to pay for it was taken directly from my HSA account… am I supposed to send the letter of medical necessity and receipt of product purchased to Fidelity so that they put the money back into my HSA Account??? Or is my account supposed to stay with a lesser balance because the money was taken directly from it??? I hope I’m making sense

Its called closing a loophole. Theres a reason its called a "backdoor rollover", the roth was meant to be a tax-advantaged way for poor people to save for retirement. The Backdoor lets wealthy people access it and also ignore the annual contribution cap. Do it. Plug that loophole!

I am sorry but these people pay the taxes on all money that is converted to the Roth IRA. The conversion is not a loophole. The people who provide you with a job and most of the tax revenue the government uses for all services and infrastructures. Quit being a class warfare warrior.
