I actually did this to my car trailer. Took a few days for it to soak in. Darkend up the wood. But i did do a small test spot of water, and it beaded up on the surface. I used some used motor oil from work and off-road diesel. Next time i will use a pump sprayer instead of a brush

Yep, it definitely works well and I will for sure continue treating the trailer deck this way. Not sure if the process I'll use to coat it next time though!

My brand new Polaris 570, is in the shop and broken dn. most of the time. I can’t get that many miles, granted I have only owned it for four months now.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 26 күн бұрын
Well what's it doing, because mines honestly been fine except for being in the shop for a couple months recently due to a weird power steering issue that came about memorial Day weekend of this year. Got it back a couple weeks ago and took it riding where I usually go for labor day and it did just fine, no signs of the steering issue. The dealer wasn't able to replicate or pull a code when it was there. The only other issue I've had was the recall for the wiring harness.

This Weds im changing wheel bearings on 2 570s, one has 12,500 miles (engine rebuild at 10,500) and the second has 10,300 miles. plus It's burning oil. They actually just purchased 2 brand new cf motos 600cc 2-up (two. Cost the same as one sportsman). Polaris machines have many known problems. M.webber what's the current problem on yours?

@@VanLoweLawnCare I couldn't agree more. What's more impressive is the owners are 71 and 68. We're in western NY, not too far from Pennsylvania. They have a toy hauler and they travel to Potato city, Potter county pennsylvania, where you can ride on the roads and there are more trails/mountains then you would believe. They go on rides that are 60 miles each way, deep into the mountains. There's a group of around 30 machines. The places they've discovered are amazing. They found an old steam train in the middle of nowhere with a dining car all set up to serve dinner with porcelain plates and silk napkins. I wish I could post pics on here. Anyways there are the most active customers I've met. if anyone's in the NY area I'll be helping him sell one sportsman 570 (rebuilt one) and one 2022 cf moto 600. He had 3 heart attacks 2 months back and accepted he needs a side by side .

@@VanLoweLawnCare I just reread your comment about the power steering issue. I've had to repair 6 or 7 570s that randomly lose power steering and don't drop codes. I finally figured out that a connector melts. I might still have a pic on my old phone. It's a two wire black plastic plug with green and blue or green and purple wires. It's something to keep in mind if you're having power steering troubles.

I use this stuff and it works really well if you know it's peculiarities. It works by OD'ing the weeds with iron via direct absorption through the foliage. (weeds take in more iron than grass, so this is how you can kill weeds but not grass). First, the small sprayer you have is probably too small for the area you're doing because you really need to douse the weeds. Second, you have to really pay attention to the temperature. Lawnweed brew doesn't work well when the nighttime lows fall under about 60 degrees. I think this is because the plants slow down growth and iron absorption when it gets colder. Third, be really careful when mixing with water; even if you use a hose to fill the container with concentrate at the bottom, it will resist mixing. You really have to flip flop the container to get an even mix. If not, then you have areas it really works well, and other areas where it wont.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 27 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tips. I definitely agree that how I was spraying was maybe more of a mist and not soaking the weeds enough. I've used other iron products in another sprayer and they have worked well if I soaked the weeds. Iron can make the grass green, but like you said since it absorbs it much slower than the weeds it doesn't actually kill the grass.

Give it a number of good coats over the course of a few days. This allows the oil to soak in really well between coats. Make sure to get as much in-between the boards as you can without the oil dripping all over the ground below. Throw on a coat every year and you'll be fine.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 29 күн бұрын
I only did the single coat the first time. Did a recoat the second. Missed this year, but will get a coat on next spring. Definitely works well!

I'm curious. How has this held up in the 9 months since?
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare Ай бұрын
It's held up great actually, hasn't peeled up at all, even after the winter of putting the ATV in the shed after plowing and the melting snow. I use a space heater to melt the snow off so it doesn't freeze. Since it's the non skid version it does hold a little dirt from the tire tracks but other than that it was a great choice and much cheaper than the Rust-Oleum Epoxy.

These craftsman blowers wont last 2 years. Buy the Husqvarna they will last 10-15 years no problem. Craftsman blowers are not worth the money. There air compressors are ok but not there leaf blowers.

Buy the Husqvarna 150BT or the 350BT. There both pretty much same power and so much better then the craftsman. Husqvarna will last you at least 10-15 years. The craftsman will last you maybe 3 years if your lucky.

I honestly don't remember what I used exactly, but it was a medium grit I'd say maybe a 150. Just need to rough up any remaining powder coat so the bed liner sticks. The bed liner does a decent job of filling in the scratches anyways

The problem I have with gators I'm the spring is they don't lift and throw as much. I have better results in spring running regular high lifts. But I will run gators for a couple weeks in the spring to help chop up leaves from the winter. 100% gators in the fall for leaves

Hey buddy, I have the same radius and my tires were worn right out. What wheels and tires are you running? Did you make any modifications to fit them? How do you like them? Keep up the great videos.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare Ай бұрын
Thanks for the compliment. I'm running the factory wheels with the Kenda Tires that actually come on the Toro Titan Max. Its the K3012. They don't make them in the factory size that comes on the Radius E series which I think is a 22. So I just went up to a 23. No mods needed, but honestly I'd look for something different. They don't really add any more traction than regular turf tires. But that's just my opinion.
