Risk of tracking this inside the house? How long before one can walk on it without the risk of tracking it inside?

Really depends on how warm or cool it is outside and if you can keep it in the sun. Also depends on how new and wet the wood is. When I did mine it was about a few days to a week at most

Sorry, very poor report. I think the battery is undersized for that mower. The charge will go down faster at the end of a cycle with the small battery so you can't expect it to last exactly half the time of one twice its capacity. Taking it out of the box and giving it a quick charge is a poor way to test it. Good that you charged it first, too bad you didn't give it a slow charge. You need to run at least 3 cycles (full charge, use and run down, cool, repeat 3 times) After the 3rd time you cut the same lawn, you'll get a better idea how it does. Better to time how long you can go with each battery, but 2 different sized batteries is extremely inaccurate.

I know the battery is undersized for the mower, but being that this battery was provided to me for review I had no choice but to use it in the mower as I don't have any other Ego equipment. I also didn't give it a slow charge because I don't own a slow charger. I know I referenced my bigger battery, but this test was just simply to see how it would do in the mower and honestly it's a worst case scenario. I'm sorry I didn't run out to buy a slow charger or other ego equipment to test the battery to your standards. The battery is really just a backup in case I'm out mowing the few yards I do with the mower and happen to run the other battery out. I do also believe I did another video on this battery as well.

I have a 2023 sportsman 570 trail and the front bearing seem to be making a popping and clicking noise at slow speeds. It’s not the CV shafts. I replaced the left front with the HD bearing from Polaris and the noise stopped. But going to try greasing them going fwd. Good advice video.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 23 күн бұрын
If you do a lot of riding especially in water/mud and even plowing snow, it's a great idea to grease them. Think about it, they are split on the inside and there's really nothing sealing them from either side, so water will definitely get in. I have been doing this at least once a year, more would probably be better but so far mine are doing just fine!

Yep, I sold it at the end of that season because it needed new straps and even my MTD dealer couldn't get the straps. Otherwise it ran fine after I changed the spark plug out to an NGK instead of the Champion Plug.

Does the decking leave any mess on tires or if you are crawling under to tie down cars with your clothes on? Dust?
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare Ай бұрын
If you get on it right away it will definitely get on your clothes and tires a little bit, but after a few days to a week you should be fine. If you can leave the trailer in the sun that will help the oil soak in faster.

How did you power your lights? Did you wire them to a custom switch or stl cigarette plug?
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare Ай бұрын
I've gone through a couple different switch setups, but I've finally settled on the STL 6 switch box. I bought a 7 way trailer cable and junction box and wired everything to that. Ran the 7 way cable into the truck and connected the cable to the wires on the box. Id try to link a video, but apparently I never posted it yet! I've been very happy though with this switch setup. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any more questions.

HOW LAZY has this society become???????????? 🤠
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare Ай бұрын
While I can't say society hasn't become lazy, this isn't being lazy at all. Holding a can upside down with the lame nozzles that the EPA requires on these cans is a pita! Not everyone is able to do so either. Some people simply can't use the EPA nozzles but still need to fill lawn mowers and other equipment with fuel. Some of the fill ports on machines are not easy to fill either. Take into account some tractors. You have to lift a can up on the hood and hold it upside down while balancing yourself on the tractor. This pump makes that operation that much easier.

So I've actually used my old one on a 15 gallon plastic drum. The problem I had with that was I didn't have a way to attach it to the drum. But if thinking of the correct gas caddy, then as long as you can attach the pump to the fill port, I'd agree it would work great with it!

I’m in NW Texas and we are a super dry climate and I’m super dry climates like we have, pressure treated wood can warp when it dries because how fast it dries. So it’s better to coat the pressure treated wood when it still has some moisture in it. This will keep it from warping as it continues to dry
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I saw no issues with coating the wood while it was still wet.

You didn’t hook up the ground wire or put drops of oil in the pump like the instructions state.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 2 ай бұрын
Well I don't recall anything in the instructions about adding drops of oil in the pump, but I can say this pump still works fine to this day. As far as the ground clamp, nope didn't hook it up for the video, but I do use it every time I fuel up the mower. But who needs directions anyways🤣

@VanLoweLawnCare 2 ай бұрын
Well the plants don't just go in the trash, they get composted and eventually reused as compost in the garden or lawn. Same as with mulch. Most of the time it's processed from waste such as trees and shrubs. It's all a cycle and honestly not a waste.

My county has property maps online. Not perfect but with a few visual indicator it really helped me define my property line. My neighbor mows it for me anyway but its nice to know. If you dont have any idea where your property line is you should find out. Worst case you get a survey but you really should know at least kinda where it is.
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 2 ай бұрын
I don't think my customer really cares because in the beginning of the year, she said the neighbor is usually pretty good about mowing in this area. Maybe the neighbor really doesn't know where the property line is and should actually figure out or survey for the property line. Especially if they are concerned about where I'm mowing. I'm pretty certain though from a little research I've done the property line is somewhere in the middle like in the beginning and end of the video. What's annoying to me about it is that instead of talking to my customer or me, they just mow whatever they want, and it isn't a problem for months. Also I'm trying to stripe my customers side so it looks good and the neighbor ruins it by their erratic mowing.

Hi. Great video. I enjoyed the assembly part. Not too fast and seems pretty straight forward. I'm on the fence between this Vevor model and a large 'plastic' 32 gallon with electric pump. Are you still using this Vevor caddy and if so, what is your impression of it so far? Thanks for the time and insight. God bless 👊
@VanLoweLawnCare
@VanLoweLawnCare 2 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! I'm pleased to say I'm still using this Vevor fuel caddy and it's doing great for me. Honestly the hand pump fills pretty quick. And it's not too difficult to move around. I like the locking front caster wheels. Two things to mention though, the ground clamp didn't last very long, but I picked up a replacement on Amazon. And I tend to not fill full to 30 gallons because I've noticed during transport fuel does leak out of the vent slightly. So I just fill to about 25 gallons which is still plenty enough for my needs. Otherwise I'd actually buy another one if I needed it.
