One of many "shamans" or "spiritually attuned" people who've ended up in Fromville as part of a multi-incarnation "hero's journey" to "save the children," based very loosely on the "Qiviuq" mythology of a shaman who lived through many incarnations on his quest to find his family and get home...

Thankfully, Jade isn't Christopher... And he and Miranda seem to be one the same page, to some not insignificant degree now... Whereas it seems like Christopher ... wasn't.

@ idk rewatching more and more jade seems to be going down the same road Christopher did. And victor knows way more than he is letting onto people. When Boyd got the worms victor looked at him as if he knew what was happening to Boyd. He was even stated a lot “it’s starting”

So many alignments that eventually made it pretty obvious... Tabi's bracelet was Miranda & Henry's. Tabi & Jim's song was Miranda & Henry's from the tape stuck in the car radio. Tabi "recognizes" Victor's toy in his room, after Ethan finds it in the coat and gives it back to Victor. Tabi & Jade both arrived in different cars on the same day. Victor says that "two cars arriving at the same time is special" to Julie on her first night. Jim & Tabi say to Ethan, while dancing around like idiots and making 'Cromenockle' noises "maybe there are TWO Cromenockles!" Tabi & Jade are this cycle's Miranda & Christopher. Tabi, Abby, Miranda, & all the prior "failed chosen ones" [which she saw in visions, per Henry] are pretty clearly all part of some kind of reincarnation cycle. Both Jade & Christopher saw the "root sign," which pretty clearly aligns them with each other on the "male" side of the duality, just as Tabitha and Miranda are aligned on the "female" side of the duality. If you go looking, there's plenty of evidence all over the place.

Personally, I still think it's a very loose retelling of the mythology of the Inuit hero "Quivuq" [who lived many lifetimes over the course of his hero's journey]. Based on the kind of "shamanic test" that was the ghost-child breaking the Inuit "Inuksuk" in the cave under Tabitha's basement, and Ethan building his block puzzle (initiating Tabitha's vision of the 2 ghost children observing), then Tabitha herself building the block puzzle outside the "slow walker" cave to summon them, at which point they come out saying [something very similar to the Inuit word for "Shamans": "Angakkuit!"], which kind of foreshadows the reincarnation story and places Tabitha in her context, symbolically by passing the test and the children coming out to lay on hands and [recognize her as a shaman, but also as one of many; I know, they retconned "Ankhooey" to mean "remember," but I picked up what they were putting down and know what they were doing with that scene symbolically/metaphorically].

Hope David Alpay checks out my Reddit thread sometime, and thinks it's an interesting narrative analysis [prior to the last episode anyway, which kinda' torched my interpretation of the ghost-kids' catch-phrase; though I still think it works metaphorically, even if they changed the literal meaning]. ;)

My girlfriend and I will surely do a complete rewatch of season 1-3 before season 4. I’m curious to see what we missed.
