If you watch Saturday Night Live here daughter Maya Rudolph portrays Kamala Harris, Beyoncé. I’m sure you never knew this is the first person to record this song. Minnie Ripperton may be the first celebrity I cried over passing at least that I can remember. I was devastated when Bruce Lee died but I don’t remember crying. The performance may be from an appearance on Don Kirchsner’s Rock Concert. After Saturday Night went off we would get Wolfmann Jack on the Midnight Special followed by Rock Concert where we got to see performers that typically wouldn’t be billed together perform live. I had to edit because I just noticed this video came from the Midnight Special.

Heyyy Bee long time no see, thanks for the comment, Minnie seems truly spectacular, I didn't even know her daughter was the one who acted as the judge in The Good Place, thats crazy

He does many covers. You should hear the version by Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers. I grew up enjoying him as an artist. This movie was pretty good it wasn’t a music video. Elvis was 26 when this was done. I’m so sorry I’ve not visited your channel in quite some time my dear Monica. I’m not sure he even understood all of the lyrics. Think about who would be who’s dance partners in a make prison😂.

Your reactions are great. Keep it up. If people are upset about paises they should just go listen to the track rhemselves rather than watch a reaction. The only thing I'd do different is to run the son back a few seconds at the pauses. As far as yiur timing doe oaiaing, it looks like you figured it out and are doing it at the transitions. Since you dont know the songs you'll usually be a few bars late, which is part of the reason it's good to run it back when you start again.

His inspiration for this song and especially the roaring vocal was Little Richard. They used to cover him a lot in their earlier years.

As an Indigenous person myself, we don't say or believe we are "Part" indigenous. You are or your not. For you to say your part indigenous being a dark skinned person is ridiculous.
@MTC229 күн бұрын
Interesting, Where I currently live it is not an offense to state such, well as far as I know, you see the world is very large and many countries have their own indigenous peoples, with their own cultures and history. I guess everyone does not respond well to the same things. And the last statement was a bit... unnecessary, Indigenous does not categorize race, it categories people who are native to a region, so yes darker skin people can be indigenous , darker skin people can also be mixed race, and darker skin people can come from a bloodline of indigenous or native people. I know you are focus on Stan Walker and where he is from, which is great and I love the representation in this video however think about other Indigenous peoples from far away places who also watched this video and connect to his words and his music. This is a beautiful song, nothing I said in this video was said to offend.

The House is brothel with gambling and liquor free flowing. Addition and irresistible calling to those that cannot escape it, willingly going back again and again to “wear that ball and chain”. Subtle creepiness in that organ and use of a minor chord.

What I have come to understand with this song, is that listening to it is an experience. Whatever you get from it is correct, but will evolve with you, and each new listening. Let it take you where it will; it is Life - Life explodes in wonder, and then slowly and beautifully dies out.

The beauty of the Beatles is they could seamlessly synthesise different styles of music into something new. This track is a good example. Echoes of doo-wop, motown, L'il Richard, Elvis, even the blues all are found here. Billy Preston had a background in many of these styles and his fingerprints are all over this tune.

The backdrop story of this song is the tragic 33 year stretch in Ireland known as the Troubles. When she sings the part "its the same old theme since 1916" she is referring to the start of the Anglo/Irish War that began with Easter Rising. Around 1933 things settled down for a few decades, but violence broke out again in the early 1960's (the Troubles) that lasted until the mid-90's as Ireland once again tried to claim their independence from English rule. Delores wrote this song after 2 bombs were detonated killing 2 young boys and wounding dozens of people. She was told by record execs not to record it, then not to release it. She ignored them and this song helped bring the IRA (Irish Republican Army) and the Crown (England) to the negotiating table that brought about a cease fire. The singing style she uses after she finishes the chorus is called Keening and is sung by the woman of Ireland during funerals as a means of expressing their grief and anguish.

These dudes created so many different sounding songs on some of the biggest albums of any rock band; and then you have their solo stuff that adds to their entirety of music history that will never be surpassed. The Beatles are the top dogs of rock stars

I had the pleasure of seeing Eric perform this live on the original G3 Tour in...1993, or 4. He opened and was followed by Steve Vai and Joe Satriani was the headliner. If you have not heard of Steve or Joe, check them out soon. Some of the most mind-blowing guitar rifts your pretty little ears will ever be violated by. I recommend; Joe Satriani - Always With You, Always With Me Steve Vai - For the Love of God Just found your channel and am currently cruising through your videos. You have a new subscriber. 😊

I think that the Beatles were influenced by the Motown girl groups in the early 60s and that comes through in the backing harmonies in this song and many of their other songs. Great vocal performance from Paul McCartney
