Nice one mate! I do like that you put the roots facing down on your driftwood, I think a lot of people make the mistake of putting it upright but I always feel trees don't grow upside down so it looks a little strange to me, the beauty of a biotope is it's always evolving so when those emerged plants at the back start growing their roots in it will look much more natural, and when the leaf litter starts breaking down into a layer of peat on the bottom it will look better as it ages as well, Thanks for sharing and I hope it goes well for you, I look forward to updates 🙂

I've tried Brazilian Pennywort and it always melted. I'm trying it again now. I have higher light so I'm seeing if that makes any difference. I like the spotlight effect. I bet the Peace Lily will really respond to it.
@ElementalAquaticDesign13 күн бұрын
@@heaven7360 so far it hasn’t been the easiest plant to care for. Although it too seems to be doing alright under the spot lights. Maybe give that a try?
@wmahicks13 күн бұрын
Re: flow, try MD’s trick. He cuts the top and bottom off a thin plastic water bottle (Poland Spring, etc), then makes a single long vertical cut so that opens up sort of like a “w”. Then he cuts it to match the length of the spillway. One side goes under that lip of the filter spillway, which holds it in place. The other side is positioned directly under the flow of water itself. Since it is curved upwards, it prevents the water from “crashing” down to the bottom of the tank, and instead directs it to skim across the surface.
@ElementalAquaticDesign13 күн бұрын
@@wmahicks hmm 🤔 I remember this trick, I may have to consider. It’s either that or a small internal filter.
