There is thousands of real cowboy stories but the stupidity of Hollywood writers is astounding

To bad the writers didn’t stick with the history books while writing they did in some episodes a lot of episodes were dumb

Another KZbinr that shuts the shows off early... I do believe not only did it get cut short, but I'm pretty certain there were a few chunks taken out as well 😑 Moving on....

Seems like every episode after the first, the audio gets out of whack. It seems speeded up. Sounds like the chipmunks.

These episodes were well put together in continuity. Well done. Rawhide was a great show. Although it had scenes of drinking, gambling, fighting and killing, it also brought out lessons of morals, fairness, loyalty, trust and truth. After all, it was geared toward adult audiences, as was Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Rifleman and such. It was aired on Friday evenings after a long work week. Television was still new then and the family would gather around it. Television today teaches negative things but it's just as attention getting as it was then. Television was much better back then but everything degrades over time. I'm glad I was raised back then. Anyway, Rawhide was one of my favorite shows. Thanks for posting.

The telegraph was a great invention. How did Morse code change the world? Without Morse code or the telegraph, we would not be as connected as we are today. People would not be able to call, FaceTime, or text each other if the telegraph did not exist. People who lived far away from each other would have very limited communication, if they did have any.

The episode where the Sargent n private rode out to meet hundreds of Indians is one of my favorite shows.if it had been a true life and i had been a cowboy there it would have been very very hard to stand there and watch as those two men went to their deaths. I would have felt like a coward to just stand there. In real life i don't know if i could have lived with myself. I think i would have been mad enough to lose my reasoning and make it three against a couple hundred. I never had much sense when i was boiling mad .

At 41:10, Albert Salmi says, "We were going to go out west together, to Oregawn County. One would think the director's job is to correct his actors' verbal gaffes before they do the final take. It's not pronounced "Ore-Gawn," and it wasn't a county during the period depicted in this tv series. Oregon was granted statehood in 1859, long befo0re the events portrayed in this show. SMH.
